Colder, wetter, foggier. Chris couldn't even remember the last time he walked down that street and wasn't being almost drenched to the point that his clothes stuck against his skin. And this time he was filled with sadness too.

He was happy that he was gonna get to see Felix (and probably more often too) and he was happy that the festive season was rapidly approaching but... he wasn't happy for a list of different reasons. Reasons he swore to himself not to bring up around the freckled male, especially as he knew he was a rare source of joy for the man at that time. He wouldn't dare be the reason Felix was sad.

So, as he trudged along the streets, his feet hitting the muddy concrete (and getting splashed by the dirty water everytime he accidentally stood in a puddle), Chris tried to rack his brain for any conversation starter other than anything related to his biggest life problem at the time.

What is his biggest life problem anyway? Well, the project that Chris had been given to work on was a failure. Not only did he have less time than usual to complete it but it was also increasingly difficult compared to usual, so he never managed to complete it and got fired.

And that meant that jobless Christopher Bahng was wandering towards his favourite place that Tuesday evening - as he always did - knowing he put the future of his career into the hands of a chaotic actor with ADHD and the man's dramatic husband. He could only hope that Jisung and Hyunjin could find some way to get his job back or get him a similar career in the industry, before he loses everything he'd ever worked for. All his money, credits to his work and probably in the end of it, his friends. After all, most of the contact he had with any of them, were connected to his work. Without it, he'd end up left behind and on his own again.

But when it's dark, you need to look for light. When it's a rainy day, look for sunshine. Look for Something Sweet.

He stepped gently inside the warm cafe, the difference in temperature hitting him like a truck that didn't see him when he crossed the street. But instead of ending up in hospital, he ended up in heaven.

The atmosphere was cozy, the lighting and the temperature was the feeling of laying under a comfy blanket after being out in the icy cold world and the man stood content behind the counter with a face that had just lit up? He was home away from home.

He lifted one arm to wave in the direction of the smiley person, using the other to close the door behind him and pat himself down in an attempt to dry himself at least a little bit, before approaching the counter.

"Evening Lix', how's today been?" He smiled, secretly proud of himself for starting a conversation with something that wasn't 'so yeah, I'm fired and I'm probably gonna be evicted from my apartment and lose most of my money'.

"Pretty quiet, better than yesterday though. Just a few people picking up orders and all that, although I did get a pleasant phone call from an old friend saying that he's gonna visit me in the new year with his boyfriend. We grew up in this town together, so it'll be nice to see him." Felix explained, making Chris' latte and pulling out a lemon sponge slice that he had prepared for the male.

"That sounds great! What's his name?" Chris' eyes widened at the sight of the cake, a slight giggle leaving Felix's lips at the expression he had made. He mouthed a 'thank you', as he took the plate into his cold (but warming up) hands and the two of them strolled across the hard, wooden floors towards the same place they always sat.

"Kim Seungmin, he's a pretty famous journalist I think? He lives in London but stays in Korea for a couple months every Winter."

"Oh! Yeah, I know him! We met a few years back too." Chris spoke, taking a bite of his lemon sponge and flashing Felix a quick thumbs up afterwards. When he had finished his mouthful, there was something in Felix's starry, brown eyes telling him to continue. "Jisung was in a movie and I edited the trailer and teasers for it, so I was invited to the premiere. It was in New York and the press people wanted to speak to everyone involved on the movie, including me. A lot of people couldn't figure out what role I had either so they basically shoved Seungmin towards me and he interviewed me all about my job. It was pretty awesome, to be honest!"
