Chris awoke at approximately 10am on January 1st, to the sound of clattering rain outside. It took him a few moments as he woke up to process where he was and what was happening. But eventually he realised that he was in a hotel room, it was New Years Day and he was so tired when he got back to the hotel that he couldn't remember what happened after he arrived there.

One thing felt especially different, however. And when he realised it was his lack of understanding of where Felix was, he sat up and darted his eyes around the room to look for him. Across the room, the other bed was empty, it didn't even look slept in or touched at all. In fact, for a second he could only panic, thinking he had upset Felix so much the previous night that he had left as soon as possible.

Although, he soon realised that wasn't the case. As a slim arm wrapped it's way around Chris' body and tugged gently in an attempt to get him to lay back down. Part of this made Chris panic further, but it seemed to all fade away the moment he looked over in the direction of the sleepy grumbles. And the look in Felix's half open eyes, just made Chris' heart skip a thousand beats, as he slowly laid his head back down on the pillow.

After turning to face the freckled male, who still had his arm draped over Chris' body, the latter watched as Felix's eyes fluttered open to a more awake state.

"Mornin'." Felix mumbled, his deep voice even lower first thing after waking up.

"Morning." Maybe Chris was dreaming, having Felix in bed next to him in the morning with his sleepy deep voice and his body wrapped around his own, sounds like a dream. So he needed verification. "One question,"

"Yeah?"

"Am I dreaming this?"

Felix merely chuckled, his shimmering brown eyes lost in Chris', as he spoke: "You tell me."

And silence fell upon them, peaceful silence, it was sweet. But it didn't last long when Chris realised just what he desperately needed to speak aloud.

"I really love you, y'know."

"Had a feeling." Felix said, before adding, "But I think I might love you more."

"Well, I think I can live with that." Chris grinned, the temptation to slap himself to wake up if he's dreaming only increasing. "I can't live without you though."

"I think you'll be happy to know that you don't have to, we're business partners Channie."

"Okay, where'd you learn my Korean name? Did Jisung tell you?" Chris rolled his eyes when Felix nodded with a giggle, he knew Jisung would've slipped up on not calling him Chan all night when it's all he calls him every other time. He wouldn't have cared about it if Felix knew what his Korean name was beforehand, but he didn't and Chris didn't really remember to tell him. "And anyway, why does it have to just be in business?"

"What do you mean by that?" Felix asked, a look in his heavenly eyes that spoke all the words he didn't say and that was that he knew very well what Chris meant by that.

"You know damn well what I mean by that Lix."

"Oh? Like this kinda business?" Felix smirked, leaning closer and pressing his lips soft against Chris' for a moment.

It only lasted a few seconds, but when they seperated Felix had a hard grip over Chris' body.

"What are you doing?" Chris asked, still processing the kiss.

"Making sure you don't runaway, Christopher."

"Felix."

"Yeah?"

"I'm never leaving your side again."

And that was all he needed to say before Felix moved his hands to Chris' neck and pulled him into another kiss, this time it was really something sweet. The way Chris placed his hands against the figure of Felix, one beneath the blanket and one above it, like it wasn't even there. The way Felix's hands ruffled through the blonde locks, and the way he didn't even know if Chris could see much without his glasses but their eyes were closed either way. The way they just melted into eachother's touch and once, but no longer, unspoken love for one another.

Felix's mind was racing a million thoughts at one moment, even if the main one was purely 'Oh my fucking god, this is really happening, what the fuck'.

Luckily their thoughts were in sync, Chris thinking the exact same thing but without any feelings of panic, just joy as he smiled deeply into the kiss.

They didn't really know how to describe how it felt, but some might say it felt just like rainy days and something sweet.

Soon the moment passed and (in the position they landed in) Chris just gazed up into Felix's eyes as the male laid on top of his body with his hands wrapped around his neck, whilst Chris was counting the man's freckles.

"Happy New Year, baby." Felix mumbled, his head falling into the warm crook of Chris' neck, how he loved that spot so much.

"Have I just scored myself a boyfriend for the new year?"

"Maybe." Felix giggled, grinning like the cheshire cat but without a care in the world except the love he had for this man.

"Well then, happy fucking year to you too, boyfriend." He whispered, butterflies fluttering around like wild in his stomach no matter how cringy what he had just said was.

But Felix just laughed his sweet chuckle, as he felt Chris wrap his warm arms around his waist gently, holding him as close as possible.

Some may think the story ends here, but I swear there's something we've forgotten? Maybe a Christmas present somebody is yet to give?
