A new friend i never thought i had

-Beep-beep-beep-
I turn off my alarm thinking how can I make things right at school, who am I kidding I already messed up my first day by being weird and shy.

"Good morning sweetheart, this time you are not gonna miss breakfast, I made pancakes" my mom said as she kissed me on my forehead
"Good morning mom, and thanks" I said
"Today is a new day!! I will be downstairs" she said
She left...

My thoughts: My mom is the kindest person I know, she never loses faith, even when dad left us mom still provided for me even through the good and bad, I love her so much!

I go downstairs all ready and dressed to eat
"Thanks for the food mom" i said
"Anything for you" mom said
The meal was delicious
Now I was on my way to school
I was sitting by myself watching people talk to eachother..
Then we came off the bus, I was on my to my locker

A girl with black hair and the perfect outfit walked up, and she was Hispanic, she looked very beautiful and she looked almost my height.
"Hi my name is Jackie! I saw you were sad and wanted to see if you were okay"
"Oh hi I'm Joy, and everything is fine"
"Are you new here?" She asked
"Yeah"
"Cool, well bell is about to ring, I'll see you around" she said
"It was nice to meet you bye" I said proudly
I walked to science feeling better about myself

My thoughts: maybe things were not that bad, well I made a new friend.
3 class periods went by and it was lunch
Meatless Tuesdays
I walk into the cafeteria
Jackie waves her hand to get my attention, so I go with her to the lunch line.

"Hey gurl" Jackie said
"Heyyy" trying to pretend to be cool
"There is gonna be a party today for the high school preps" she said
"Really, when"
"Yeah it starts at 9pm-3am time" she said happy
"Wow, that's really late, but I'll try"
We sat at our seat talking
We had a good time
Then lunch was over

"Well I guess I'll see you at the party" Jackie said while winking
"Yeah I guess" I said with doubt but with a smile.

My thoughts: yaaaayy, I have a new best friend. Okay I'm not that desperate I have friends when I go to different school's but Jackie is different. I'm like the shy girl who sits at the back of the room and my friends don't notice, but its different this time around. I'm gonna shake things up, and crack my shy shell.

School ends and I'm home.

"Hi darling, how was school" mom said on the couch
"Hi, and school was great, why are you back home so early?"
"I decided to take a break from work and chillax" said mom calmly
"Oh okay that's cool, I made a new friend and her name is Jackie" "wow that's great" said mom proudly
"And she wants me to go to a party with her, it starts 9pm-3am can I go?"
"Sure, honey" she said with confidence
"Say what now, I thought you are going to say no"
"Of course not, you are old enough to make your own choices" she chuckled
"Wow, thanks mom"

I rushed upstairs looking for what to wear
And my mom comes up to my room with a dress that shines that I never wore before saying "this one would look perfect"
