"HEY, DIA, CAN I ASK YOU SOMETHING?" Finn approached the dark-skinned girl while she was at her locker. Nadia was standing at her locker writing down the notes from her last class in her notebook when she heard Finn's voice behind her. The girl looked up from her notes and turned to face Finn.

"I'm not leaving the TroubleTones," Nadia stated, thinking that was what he was going to ask. "And I'm not going easy on you guys because you have fewer members than we do."

Finn chuckled lightly and shook his head. "Uh, that's not what I was going to ask. However, I wanted to see how you were doing. You know, I've seen you walk around pretty sad most days, and I know you say you're okay, and I just wanted to check on you." Okay, he had an ulterior motive, but he did want to make sure that Nadia was okay because had seen her walk around school feeling pretty sad since Sam left.

The New Directions were short a few members since the girls left and Finn had got this idea when he lying awake in bed thinking about the performer problem in the New Directions. Finn thought about bringing Sam back for Sectionals and Nadia so that she wouldn't be so sad anymore. The only problem is only Nadia knew where Sam was and he needed her phone to see where he was.

Finn would've asked her straight up, but she would put two and two together, and figure out that he was trying to get Sam to come back. However, Finn wanted to spare her feelings if Sam didn't want to come back to McKinley and she would be hurt by this, so Finn decided to do this in secret and try his hardest not to let Nadia know about what he was doing. Even though he was a terrible liar when it came to keeping things from Nadia.

The girl could call his bluff because he always had this dopey infant look on his face whenever he lied about something. But the guy could lie easily to Rachel about almost anything. Anyway, Nadia closed her notebook and placed it back in her locker before facing the taller boy. "Oh, uh, that's nice of you. I'm doing okay, I guess. It's kinda hard not having him around, but I'm getting there. Thanks for asking."

Finn eyed Nadia's phone quickly and smiled at her to play it off. "Of course. Anything for my favorite girl. Have you talked to him lately?"

Nadia let out a sigh and shook her head. They missed their last couple of Skype calls together because of drama, school, applications, and his job. The Anthony girl scratched the back of her neck and said, "No, we've been so busy with stuff the past couple of weeks that we haven't had much time to talk lately. I was gonna call him after school or during lunch if he's available."

Finn nodded understandingly. "Yeah, I know you guys must miss each other. I mean, you guys just got together at the beginning of the summer, and everyone's been telling you that you guys should be together. And when you finally get together...he moves away." The Hudson boy chuckled lightly and placed his hands on his hips, letting out a little sigh after his speech. "You know, I know it must be tough for you."

Nadia nodded with a slight frown of confusion. "Are you okay? Have you been inhaling the fumes of Rachel's hairspray or Kurt's hairspray?"

Finn started laughing loudly. "That's a good one. It's a good thing you still have a good sense of humor."
