Little Meher's laughter echoed through the park as she chased Rahul, her ponytail bouncing with each step. They played tag, their tiny feet pattering against the grass. Rahul, with his messy brown hair and bright smile, was Meher's best friend.
As they ran, they stumbled upon a patch of wildflowers. Meher squealed with delight; her eyes sparkling. "Rahul, look! Flowers!" Together, they picked a handful, creating a colourful bouquet.
Their game of tag turned into a dance, twirling and spinning amidst the blooms. Meher felt carefree, her heart full of joy. In that moment, nothing else mattered but the beauty of the world around her.
As the sun began to set, Meher and Rahul settled on a bench, watching the sky turn pink. Meher leaned her head on Rahul's shoulder, feeling grateful for their friendship.
"Rahul, I'm so glad we're friends," Meher said, her voice filled with sincerity.
Rahul smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Me too, Meher. We're the best team ever!"
As they sat together, Meher realized that this moment, this feeling of pure happiness, was what she wanted to hold onto forever.Suddenly Rahul fell on the ground. When Meher came near to him and turned him, Meher’s eyes widened in horror as Rahul's body went limp, his head hitting the ground with a sickening thud. She rushed to his side, trying to hold him up, but his weight was too much for her small frame.
As she looked down at Rahul's face, her mind recoiled in terror. His bright smile was now a ghastly grimace, his eyes frozen in a death stare. Meher's gaze fell on his chest, and she saw it was covered in blood, his white shirt now a gruesome red.Her scream pierced the air, shattering the tranquillity of the park. Meher's eyes snapped open, and she found herself back in her bed, her heart racing, her sheets drenched with sweat.
It was just a dream, she told herself, trying to calm down. But the image of Rahul's bloodied face lingered, haunting her.
Meher threw off her covers and got out of bed, her mind reeling with questions. Why did she have such a vivid, disturbing dream? May be because what happened to her last year ?As she walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water, she noticed the time on her phone. It was 3:00 AM. The witching hour, her mother used to call it.Something bad always happens somewhere at this time.

Somewhere in the streets of Hyderabad:
The city streets were deserted, the only sound being the soft hum of streetlights and the distant hum of a night owl's engine. Amidst the darkness, a lone figure emerged, his eyes fixed on a destination with sinister intent. He clutched a knife in his hand, his grip tightening as he turned a corner. His eyes scanned the surroundings, ensuring he was alone. The only witness to his crime would be the city itself, and it wouldn't dare testify against him.
As he approached his target, his heart raced with excitement and a hint of nervousness. He had planned this moment for weeks, and nothing would stop him from fulfilling his twisted desire.
The figure slowed down; his eyes fixed on a building in front of him. He took a deep breath, savouring the moment. This was it. This was the moment he would take a life and leave a trail of blood and fear in his wake.
With a swift movement, he pushed open the door and slipped into the darkness within. The city remained silent, unaware of the horror that was about to unfold.

Meher's eyes narrowed as she surveyed the crime scene. As a seasoned homicide detective, she had seen her fair share of brutal murders, but this one sent a chill down her spine. The young woman, Diksha, lay lifeless on the floor, her once bright eyes now frozen in a permanent stare.
