Doku D Y/N was born on the rugged and storm-battered Ebon Isle in the South Blue. The island, though harsh and brimmed with poverty, thrived with resilient people who relied on the sea and their tight-knit community for survival. Y/N's family, part of the enigmatic "D" lineage, stood as both respected and feared figures among the islanders.

The lineage of "D" was shrouded in mystery, whispered about in hushed tones among the islanders. It was said that those with the initial "D" in their names carried with them a legacy of defiance against tyranny and a natural inclination towards freedom. Y/N's father, Doku D Zen, embodied this spirit fiercely. Once a renowned pirate with a storied past, Zen had turned away from the pirate life after a fateful encounter that changed his perspective on the world.

Under Zen's guidance, Y/N learned the ways of the sea and the art of survival. Zen, now a respected elder of the community, had forsaken his pirate ways to protect his family and the islanders from the dangers that lurked beyond the horizon. He taught Y/N the importance of strength, compassion, and the enduring legacy of the "D" in his name.

Unknown to most, Doku D Zen carried a heavy burden—a secret that could shake the foundations of the World Government itself. It was a map, etched in ancient script, leading to a piece of the fabled Poneglyphs. These inscriptions, scattered across the world, held the secrets of the Void Century—a history erased by those in power to maintain control over the seas.

When Y/N was just ten years old, tragedy descended upon Ebon Isle like a storm. Under cover of darkness, the Cipher Pol unit descended upon the island with swift and brutal efficiency. Zen, ever vigilant, sensed their approach but was unable to prevent their assault.

(3rd Person POV)

Y/N woke to the sound of crashing waves and the salty breeze that wafted through the wooden shutters of their modest home. The morning sun painted golden waves across the sky, signalling the start of another day on Ebon Isle. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and swung his legs over the edge of his bed, feet landing softly on the cool, worn wooden floorboards.

Y/N: "Morning already, huh?"

Y/N muttered to himself, a hint of sleepiness still lingering in his voice. He stretched his arms above his head, feeling the tightness in his muscles from yesterday's training with his father.

Downstairs, the aroma of fresh fish stew simmering over the fire greeted him as he made his way to the kitchen. His mother, Aya, was already bustling about, her gentle smile lighting up the room.

Aya: "Good morning, Y/N,"

She greeted him warmly, placing a bowl of steaming stew in front of him.

Aya: "Eat up. Your father wants to continue your training today."

Y/N nodded eagerly, his appetite awakening at the sight and smell of the hearty breakfast. He dug into the stew with pleasure, savouring the familiar flavors of home—tender fish, root vegetables, and a hint of spices that warmed him from the inside out.

As they ate, Aya recounted tales of the island's history and its resilient people who had weathered storms and hardships for generations. Her voice was soothing, like a lullaby that wove through the fabric of their daily lives.

"Did you know," Aya began, her eyes twinkling with mischief,

Aya: "that your father once caught a fish so big, it took him and three other men to haul it onto shore?"

Y/N chuckled, shaking his head in mock disbelief.

Y/N: "No way, Mom. Dad's stories get bigger every time he tells them."
