Nini's pov

Lily and I were right in the middle of singing Start of Something New together. The rest of the cast and Miss Jenn were sitting to the side and watching us. The school bell rang causing EJ to quickly jump up.

"Yes! Yes! Whoo!" EJ cheered and we all looked at him. "Sorry, I really love Thanksgiving."

"Okay, hold on." Miss Jenn called out before we could all leave. "I know everyone is excited for the holiday break. But I'm me, and I have notes. Lily and Nini, that was good. But it could be better. She said in the spirit of holiday cheer."

"Good save." Carlos told her.

"I thought we sounded okay." Lily turned to me with a charming smile.

"Heck yeah, we're kinda killing it." I replied.

"Did you mean both of us?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, Lils. I mean both of us." I smiled.

I mean, I have to hand it to her. She worked hard and she looks really good now. In the show. She looks really good in the show.

"Your homework over this break, all of you, is to please go on vocal rest. And go over your lines, too, which is hard to do on vocal rest but make it work." Miss Jenn instructed. "And remember, may nothing ever block your doorway to happiness."

"Excuse me!" Mr Mazzara shouted as he walked into the bomb shelter.

"Okay, starting now." Miss Jenn said.

"I just came to return a missing item." Mr Mazzara said as he looked at Lily. "Lily. You left your drawing notebook in my classroom."

Lily slightly widened her eyes before taking the notebook from him. "Thank you."

"What's in there?" I asked Lily with a small smirk. "You looked pretty scared when he walked in here with it."

"It's nothing." She told me with a small blush.

I nodded. "Alright, then."

"Party at Ashlyn's after Thanksgiving tomorrow! Everyone's invited!" Carlos shouted causing us all to cheer.

Right when Lily wasn't paying attention I snatched the notebook out of her hand and ran out the bomb shelter. Lily started to immediately chase me down the halls.

"Nini!" Lily shouted.

I laughed as I opened up the notebook while I ran. I flipped through the pages seeing a bunch of very detailed drawings. I didn't know Lily could draw. Right as I flipped to a drawing of me, two arms wrapped around my waist causing me to let out a squeal.

"You done running?" Lily softly said in my ear.

I felt butterflies in my stomach as I blushed. I pushed her off of me and then handed her the notebook as I let out a hum.

"I didn't know you could draw." I said to her.

Lily put the notebook back in her backpack before looking at me with a small smile. "It's called a hidden talent for a reason, Neens. I want to keep it hidden."

Lily's pov

It was Thanksgiving day and Dad, Ricky, and I were sitting at the island, eating Thanksgiving dinner. I put a scoop of mashed potatoes on my plate before putting some on Dads.

"This is nice, Dad." Ricky smiled.

"Yeah, you don't see a lot of hot wings and instant mashed potatoes in the history books." Dad said causing me to chuckle. "We should bring leftovers to Aunt Judy's later."
