When the nights grow longer all it did was give them more time to stay locked away behind the doors of Armie's house. Nights that were wrapped in passion and want. Y/N barely hung out with friends, too busy letting Armie kiss over her body in the late hours of the night. Armie didn't bother hanging with his friends either. Trading nights at the bar and playing pool with the guys for night cuddled up on the couch with Y/N tucked into his side.
"What do you know about the copy guy, Chad?" Y/N asked as she walked back into Armie's office.
"Nice guy. From what I've talked to him anyway."
"He just asked me out."
Armie paused, looking at her, his shoulders suddenly tensing. "Oh?"
"Yeah," She responded, looking at the files in her hands, filing them in the cabinet next to Armie's desk. "I doubt I'll go out with him. Seems a bit, I don't know, peppy. Like he OD's on sunshine."
"And that's a problem?'
"At" She grabbed Armie's wrist, looking at his watch. "7:45 in the morning, yes."
Armie chuckled. "Well, I can't tell you who you can or can't date"
"Who's dating?" Y/N's dad, Roger, walked in.
"Hey, daddy." She smiled up at him.
"Senior skip day and you use it to come into the office." Roger looked at his daughter with raised brows and a smirk.
"Extra hours mean extra cash at the end of the week. College will be expensive." She tells her dad.
"Smart girl." Armie smirks behind her. "And apparently the guy in the copy room asked her out."
"It's not smart to get associated romantically with someone at the office." Roger crossed his arms over his chest.
"I know and I'm not interested. Besides, it wouldn't be smart to date anyone right now. I'm about to go across the country for college. Why start something that I wouldn't be able to maintain."
"You never know," Roger dropped his arm. "You may meet some young man at Yale who will sweep you off your feet. I hear Yale men are quite the gentleman. "He motions with a hand. "Just look how Armie turned out."
"I think Armie is the exception." She smirked looking back at Armie. "Good upbringing."
"Now, enough of that." Armie chuckled. "Finish filing. I'm not gonna go easy on you because of the compliments." He smiles.
"Wouldn't think of it." She grabbed the next stack of papers.
"See you later, kiddo." Her dad said, walking out the office.
After the door clicked shut Armie looked over at Y/N as she filed the papers. "You know," He cleared his throat. "You're an adult."
"Uh huh." She looked over at him.
"You can make your own decisions. Just be careful when dating older men. Chad is like 23. You probably have different outlooks on life."
"I know." She turns to him. "That's why I didn't give him an answer."
"I'm not saying don't go out with him." Armie adds. "I'm just saying be careful. Men can be assholes sometimes."
"Men being assholes has no age limit. I learned that already. I know plenty of guys my age that are straight douches. Hints why I never really went for any guy at school."
