After everything we acted like nothing happened just a while ago as we ate our breakfast at the dining
hall."I noticed something," Gyomei speaks up, "You don't pray that much."
"Yeah." I say, a bit nervous, knowing he himself is a religious man, "We had similar circumstances but we came out differently. After you were... blamed and saved, you turned to your God for comfort. Meanwhile, I was blamed and I turned away. I don't have that much faith anymore... after what happened to my siblings."
"I see..." He nods quietly, "I respect your belief."
Another hashira sits next to me.
"Sanemi." I greeted with a soft smile.
"What's wrong with your face." He snaps.
"Excuse me, it's called smiling. Something you don't know."
"Fuck you, I can smile!" He yells, the corner of his lips turning back as he shows his teeth.
A disturbed look adorned my face, "Yeah, sure, honey."
I turned towards Gyomei when I heard his wooden spoon break while he was scooping his soup. Sometimes, I feel his strength.
"I'm sorry..." He apologizes, setting his broken spoon down. But he didn't look apologetic at all. Instead, it was meant to be like a warning.
Later, after breakfast, as we made our way to the training room, Gyomei was awfully silent, keeping his distance from me.
"Something wrong?" I finally asked.
"Do you like Sanemi?"
I stopped in my tracks turning to face him with a dead look, "Are you serious?"
"Are you?" He retorts back, "YeAh sUre hONey."
I crack a laugh, "You're jealous because I called him honey."
His cheeks and ear flare up into a bright red.
"I hit the jackpot huh." I walk closer to him, only a few feet apart, "Earlier this morning, you ate my pussy and fucked it like there's no tomorrow,w, and now you think I like Sanemi?"
"Well don't call him honey." He frowns, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Relax, I was just teasing him. If it makes you feel any better, he's my distant relative. Okay? It's all platonic."
"You two are related?" Gyomei seems to have dropped his grumpy mood.
"Yeah, third cousin I think. Now it makes sense why both of our families are shit because they're related."
Gyomei wasn't sure if he were to laugh. Instead, he patted my head with a soft smile.
"You're different from your family. You're not like those baboons."
