I am thankful this car has navigation because without it, I would have no clue where I am going. I glance at the GPS, and see my ETA is in 5 minutes. I feel my heart rate pick up and I feel like I'm shaking. I focus on taking slow deep breaths and calming my nerves. You can't let the fucker see you sweat. I realize this was a stupid ass idea, but I would do anything for my Blue. He is my best friend in the world, even more than Maya. I feel tears welling in my eyes, I miss my Blue puppy so much. I speed down the road, determined to get to him sooner. I hear "Your destination is on the right" come over the speakers in the car. I make a right and pull up to this creepy abandoned looking barn. Why does it always have to be creepy abandoned buildings? Why can't the killer ever want to meet at a Chili's or something?
I park the car, but decide to leave it running. Maybe I can grab and dash. I check the pistol AJ gave me and try to figure out where I can hide it. I'm not wearing a baggy enough shirt to hide it in the back of my pants. Also, despite what they show in movies and shit, that's really kind of a dumbass idea to keep it there. That's how you shoot your own butthole. Shit. What do I do?? I realize I am going to have to leave it in the car. So much for that. I think about texting Unknown to tell him I am here, but then realize that he made me leave my phone behind. Double shit. I decide to flash the high beams at the creepy barn. The door opens, and a hooded figure in all black appears. I can't make out his features, but I see him wave for me to come inside. Thankfully the car is quiet enough, or I must have parked far enough away, because he doesn't seem to notice I left the car on. I force turned off the lights so it looks like I turned off the car though.
I approach the creepy hooded figure. This is stupid. This is really stupid. This is how you get killed Carter. It's like you've learned nothing
from all the true crime shows you watch. I get closer to the figure, but due to the shadow of his hood and the shitty lighting, I still can't really see who it is. Then I decide to do something even more stupid. "Well asshole. I'm here, just like you wanted. Now where is my fucking dog." Really? Did you HAVE to say that with so much attitude? He has the leverage here. I barely see the what looks like a wide smile forming on the creeps face. "Now now, let's not rush this Sweetie. The fun is just starting!" Creep face Mcgee says. I scoff, "You have a weird sense of fun." He laughs. The creepy fucker just laughs.
"Sorry this is our venue for the evening. My usual place is.... occupied." I stare at him, my face blank. Don't show emotion. That's what he wants. He raises his eyebrow at me, but continues. "Why don't you relax, take a seat, make yourself comfortable." He waves his arms around like he's showing off a house for sale. "I'd rather not." I say flatly. "I insist" he says, an evil tone in his voice. He gestures to a random chair in the middle of the barn. Directly across from it is another chair.
I hesitate for a moment, but realize I need to do what he says until he brings me Blue. I think about calling out for him, he would come running in an instant. But what if he has him tied up, or locked away, or its a trap and he gets hurt?? I shudder at the thought of my sweet boy getting hurt, and decide to take a seat. Unknown walks towards me, and I can see a little more of his face. It's still not enough to make out who it is though, so I figure it isn't someone I know well. Not surprising. He pulls rope seemingly out of nowhere. "Sorry Sweetie, gotta make sure you don't try anything silly. I promise to be gentle. Hands behind your back please." He says softly. I glare at him, but do as he says. He ties my hands behind my back before moving to tie my ankles to the chair. Surprisingly, he is fairly gentle. As gentle as you can be when you're tying someone up and holding them hostage anyway. "Now, let's chat Carter." He says, as he sits across from me. He leans forward in his chair and places both hands on my thighs, then continues, "I've been waiting for this moment for so long Sweetie."
