I pull Maya's watch out of my shirt and click the button on the side to wake it up. The screen remains black. No. I push the button on the side again. NO! I push the button rapidly a few more times before my arm drops to my side. I let out a frustrated "FUCK!" I groan and spin around again, trying to look for ANY other way out of here. When I see nothing I lower myself down to the floor and pull my knees to my chest. I realize I'm hyperventilating and lower my head to my knees and try to focus on my breathing. In 1... 2... 3... Out 1... 2... 3...

I must have passed out, because the next thing I remember is blinking a few times and waking up. I rub my eyes and look around.I turn towards the bed. He is sitting on edge of the bed, sweatshirt off and resting over his leg, petting Blue. With a ski mask? Wow, Blue REALLY needs to learn stranger danger. I momentarily wonder how I didn't see his face in the room before, but then I remember the blindfold. "Welcome to the land of the living." His deep voice says with a hint of humor. "You hungry? I brought you food." I nod my head, "Yes, thank you." I rise to my feet slowly, unsure what he's planning to do. He stands up, giving Blue one more pet. "Well, enjoy." He states, and then heads for the door. My nose fills with his scent. He smells so good. I'm not going to forget his scent.

He pulls his sweatshirt back on, and something falls out of the pocket. He doesn't seem to notice, and I am not about to say anything. Maybe it will give me information. He exits the room and I walk over to grab whatever fell. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I have to stop myself from saying that out loud, I can't risk Ryan hearing.
