Suddenly, I'm consumed by a memory. That's how I know him. I was pulled over about a month ago for speeding. He was the officer that pulled me over. I'll admit I was shameless, and wearing a low cut shirt that day. I flashed him a little cleavage and was let office with a warning. "Thank you so much Officer." I say in a flirty manor. He smirks, "You drive safe now, Sweetie. I don't wanna have to pull you over again." My jaw drops.

I turn to AJ. "It's him." I state. AJ looks at me, confusion etched in his face. "What?" He asks. "It's him AJ. He pulled me over like a month ago." How did I not recognize the voice? "How does that make him your kidnapper?" AJ asks, but genuinely, not like I'm crazy. I sit up straighter. "He called me Sweetie that day!" I say, like AJ should know what I'm talking about. "Ok... and?" He says, not following. "And, Unknown called me Sweetie in the texts, and in person too." AJ nods and I can tell the pieces are staring to come together in his mind. "That was the voice too, I don't know how it didn't register sooner, but it is. Plus, when he came over to shake you hand, it was the same way my kidnapper smelled." AJ gives me a weird look but I continue, "I'm sure of it. He's the right height, he's built... It was him AJ. Trust me."

I expect the pieces to snap into place and him to yell for security or something, anything. But he just stands there with his thinking face on. "How much do you know about Blake?" I ask. "Not much. He only transferred to our station a couple months ago." AJ responds. "It's him AJ! I know it is! Call the cops or for security or something!" I say while waving my arms in the air. I am frustrated that he isn't doing anything. He's just standing there. "AJ!" I yell at him. "I believe you Carter. I do. But we need more evidence. I can't just accuse a cop of something like this without solid proof." He says, and I can tell he wishes it was easier. I drop my head and sigh. He's right. You know he's right.

Maya peaks her head back through the door. "Is it safe?" She says, looking around the room quick before entering and shutting the door behind her. We make eye contact and she sighs. "Kazoo guy" is all she says before she plops down in the chair next to me. I nod my head, already having figured that out, "My kidnapper. I win." I say with a laugh. Maya gasps. "WAIT WHAT?" I just nod my head. You're being weirdly calm Carter... AJ clears his throat and I turn towards him. His phone is in his hand and he points to the door with the other. "I gotta go make a call. Maya, don't leave her side." He commands. "Yes, sir." She says with a salute. AJ exits the room and Maya turns to me again. "So.... Gonna fill me in? I always miss the juicy stuff."

I fill Maya in and she sits there in shock for a minute. "And you're sure? Accusing a cop Car.... You HAVE to be sure." She says. I nod my head knowingly. "Yeah, its definitely him. But, AJ says we need solid evidence before we formally name him to the police." I say. "He's right Car. But if you say it's him, we'll find proof. I knew no sane person would brag about playing the fucking kazoo." She says, causing us both to laugh a little.
