Mama dear

As I was standing there, I was utterly shocked. I couldn't believe that my mother in this parallel world was my favorite actress, whom I adore and love wholeheartedly. My dream was coming true, to be with her, and I was frozen. Meanwhile, Marie was surprised when I called her by a different name.
"Oh, pure thing! You must be so confused; you spent so much time in a coma! My dear angel!" - she said as she opened her arms to hug me - "Come here to Mama; I have been waiting for this moment for such a long time! Can I hug you?" - she finished. I was so mesmerized and overwhelmed at the same time that my only response was to nod yes with my head. As she came close to me and hugged me, I felt that I was melting from the familiar feeling. It felt so natural like we would do this all the time. I just knew the feeling of her hug. It was so comforting, warm, and loving that the emotions caught me immediately. I started to cry; I never felt this intense emotion before. I felt so much pain; I missed her all my life. Finally, I understood my own feelings. A mother who was lost to me for such a long time. And now she was back. I didn't want to wake up from this dream. I wanted her; I didn't want to lose her.
A gentle "mama" came out of my mouth. In return, I felt her squeezing me more, giving me more warmth, and signing that she missed me too.
"It's okay, dear!" - she said as she wiped off a tear from her face. Then she looked at me and started to smile - "Why don't we go inside? Are you hungry or thirsty? I can order a cup of tea or a snack for you." - I still couldn't believe this, so I was looking at her with admiration, not even answering her question- " Come on baby, let's go!" - she said, and she held my hand to lead me in the palace. I looked at Blaze to follow me, and we let my mother lead the way.
When we arrived inside, she insisted on having a cup of lavender tea and gave Blaze some snacks. As I was drinking my tea, I noticed her staring at me, which made me uncomfortable. She noticed that I was overwhelmed, tried to give me a comforting smile, and held my hand.
" Drink the tea, sweetheart! Levander is perfect for nerves! It will calm you down!"
I looked at her. She is exactly how I imagined her:  gentle, loving, and caring. I couldn't believe my emotions were right and we really belonged.
"Whenever you are ready, you could tell me how this miracle happened!" - she told me patiently.
"It's a long story. I'm afraid you would be too surprised and overwhelmed." - I answered hesitantly
" Alright, dear! Whenever you ready!" - she finished, then looked at Blaze. - "You, you brought my dear girl back to me! I own you! You can wish for anything! Anything at all."
"Your Majesty!" - started Blaze as he bowed in front of her, then he looked at me, knowing that he had to expose himself in front of me. - "A few months ago, my whole family disappeared out of nowhere. I tried to search for them in the whole magic kingdom, but there was no sign of my mom, dad, brother, or sister. They were all I had. Please help me find them! I gave back your family, now in return, please help me find mine." - when I heard him say this, my heart broke for him. Poor Blaze. I have to help him.
"Not another word." I will give out an order immediately to find them! Wherever they are, we will find them, I promise!"
"Thank you, Your Highness! If you excuse me, it's time for me to go and leave you with your daughter now."
"Not so fast, Blaze!" - I said as I looked at my mother - "I think Blaze should stay with us!"
"What?" -asked both of them surprised.
"Blaze is my only friend here; he helped me, Mom! Please! I need him!"
"This is highly unusual to let a wild animal from the magic forest live with us!"
"Please!" - I asked her with a vining voice, and I saw her face getting softer, realizing that she couldn't restrict me straight at the first time.
"You know what! We can make an exception! If my baby wants a fox, she can have a fox! Welcome to your new home, Blaze!"
"Hold on, can we talk for a second, Colette?"
My mom looked surprised that he called me by a different name, but she stayed silent. I walked a few steps away from her to talk privately with Blaze.
"Please, Blaze, I don't know this world! I need your help! I can't do it on my own!"
" You heard me; I need to find my family! I can't be a house pet!"
"You wouldn't be my house pet! You would be my honored guest and friend. And in return, I will ensure the investigation about your family goes perfectly!"
"You have to promise me you will help get back my family!"
"I promise! Are we having a deal?" I asked excitedly and saw him nodding - " Yes! Welcome home, Blaze," - I said as I hugged him.

After tea time, my mom showed us around. Blaze got his own room; he was basically treated like a little prince, which was awesome. He started to feel that he had made the right decision to stay next to me, and I really wanted to help him find his family.
When we left Blaze at his new kingdom, my mom finally showed me my room. When I walked in, I saw a beautiful, huge pink room with a princess castle bed in the middle. The whole room was full of toys, books, and trinkets for kids. The surprise on my face was so obvious that she immediately noticed my expression.
"I know," - she said as she looked down from pain - "I didn't have the heart to change it. I always hoped that one day you would come back. Of course, now you can't use these things. You are all grown up," - she said with pain in her voice. For a second, I felt like I should tell her that I don't have memories, but I didn't want to hurt her more.
"What?" - she asked as she immediately noticed something was not okay.
"No, it's nothing! Really!"
"Katie, you have to trust in me! I know you're hiding something!"
"You do?" - I asked, with a terrified voice.
"Come on! You don't want to tell me how you woke up, and your friend calls you by a different name. Please, you have to trust in me!"
I realized she was right. I need to tell her. Otherwise, no one will understand why I am different.
"Okay, but you might want to sit down for this."
"I'm listening," - she said as she sat on the bed. I followed her, sat next to her, and looked into her eyes. It was still unbelievable that she was right next to me and she cared so much about me.
"Okay," - I started - "A few hours ago, I was not Katie; I was Colette, from a different world."
"What do you mean?" - she asked confused.
"Well, I was born in a country named Serbia. I lived there with my mother and my father until they got divorced, and my mom remarried to my stepfather. We moved to Hungary; my mom had a brother for me, and my dad had a brother for me. I spoke a different language, which is called Hungarian. I grew up being abused by my stepfather; my dad was not around, and my mother didn't really care about me. I have always wanted to be a writer, but my parents made me become a midwife, who is basically a professional who leads birth, in case you are not familiar with the term. I had a terrible argument with my parents; I suffered an accident and got into a coma. The next thing I know, I'm here, and I have a different name, and I'm a princess."
"Oh my God! So you don't have memories about this life?" - she asked as she tried to pull her thoughts together, but I could tell that she was struggling.
"Yes. And In this other world, I knew you, but you didn't know me."
"I was in that world?"
"Yes, you were a famous actress. That means..."
"I know what an actress is," - she said a bit harshly as she was trying to process the information. She quickly realized she was mean to me and tried to be more gentle. - "So, who did I play?" - she asked with a little giggle.
"You actually played an evil queen in a TV show."
"Wow! What a surprise! Me as an actress." - she said with a laugh. - "How did that turn out for me?"
"You were very famous! I adored you! I always wanted to be like you! Work with you!"
"Well, that's silly! You don't need to do things like this anymore! Mama is here, darling! I will take care of you!" - she said as she hugged me. I wasn't sure what actresses are like here, but it looked like they don't have a good reputation around here, according to this reaction.
"I'm so glad I have you, Mom!" - I said as I hugged her back.
"Okay!" - she said with tears in her eyes - "I have to take care of something! Why don't you settle in while Mama deals with some stuff? Later I will introduce you to your brother and father!"
"Okay." - I said it, disappointedly. I wanted to spend every minute with her.
"Don't worry, dear! I will be back before you know it!" - she said as she walked out of my door, but then she turned back again. - "Katie, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't tell anybody about this! Until we know exactly what this is, it's our secret! "
"Okay, mama," - I said, then she disappeared behind the door.
For some reason, I had a feeling that I had to go to that beautiful garden again and look around there. On my way there, I was thinking of inviting Blaze with me, but I felt like I didn't have time; I had to go immediately.
As I was walking around, soaking in the beautiful flowers' smell and appearance, I suddenly heard a familiar voice. I decided to hide behind the bushes and tried to get closer to the voice. It was my mom wearing a red hood, and she was speaking with a man whose face was not visible from my angle.
"She doesn't have memories!" - said my mother to the stranger.
"Thank God!"
"You are safe for now! But let me be clear! You don't have my back!"
"Yes, Your Highness! I will be careful."
"Go! I don't want anyone to notice that you were here!"
This is our secret!"  - the man answered while trying to get closer to her. She stepped back and pushed him back.
"It's time for you to leave!" - she said, and when the man was on his way, she yelled after him - "And don't go near to her ever again!"
As I saw the man leave, I was shocked about this conversation. Who is this man? What does he have to do with my mom? And why did my mom speak about me? And more importantly, what secret were they sharing that no one can know?
