Aiden speaks first, "Hey man, we haven't eaten yet, and we've been at this for over two hours. I think whatever fight you two end up having wouldn't be very fair to her"
Damian looks annoyed that someone is in the way of something he wants to do, "Hey man, not all fights are fair. This is the real world She can fight and take a hit, even with her being tired and hungry".
They tried sizing each other up, they are very close in height, with Damian barely taking the lead. While they both were very muscular, Aiden was a bit thinner. Neither were intimidated. While amusing, it was aggravating me because nobody asked what I wanted, and it's about me, but to be fair, I didn't even know what I wanted to do.
On one hand, I would never back down from an official challenge makes me look weak, on the other hand, this isn't an official challenge, I'm hungry and tired, too. I'll just side with whoever asks my opinion first. That seems fair. Maybe stupid, though. I'm fucking hunry.
I snapped back to attention when Aiden hit the ground. Damian brings his foot to the fallen man's back, stopping him from getting up. He looks at me, in a way that could only be described as saying 'what're you gonna do about it?'. Without thinking, I took the five steps it would take to tackle him. Unprepared for the attack, he fell back but was still on his feet.
If he wants a fight, I'll give him the fucking fight of his life. Nobody fucks with the people I care about. I mentally laugh from these thoughts, since I just started talking to Aiden. I don't give him any time to ready his attack. I come in, sending a triple punch, starting with my right hand, chest, stomach, and jaw. I go in for a kick, but he grabs my leg right before it makes contact with his ribs and turns my leg so that I'm facing away from him. I go deadweight, which throws him off balance, making him let go.
I turn onto my back, giving me range to kick his groin before getting up. He falls to his knees. Ha, that will never not be funny. I grab his hair and yank his head to the ground. "Give up and let me eat, asshole. Stay the fuck away from us", I'm tired of this shit.
Without responding, he grabs my neck with his left hand and pulls me down by my bra with his free. Neither of us let go, leaving us at a stalemate. Aiden kicks Damian in the face, causing him to coil away.
"Aww, fuck. What the fuck?!" his complaints were drowned out in his whines.
I get up, helping Damian rise, though he doesn't deserve anything from me. "Thanks. You fight well", he turns to Aiden, "Sorry for striking you, I just wanted to see what she could do". It's no secret that Damian rivals Xander in desire for leadership, so he's likely scouting to discover a second in command, or to see if I'd be able to fight for leadership.
"I'll kill you myself if you pull that shit again"
I check the time. SHIT. Dinner ends in fifteen minutes. I start hauling ass, running top speed toward the Dining Hall. Aiden's voice called after me, "What're you doing? Slow dow-, SHIT, I didn't eat luunnnch", his footsteps echoed behind me along with Damian's.
We arrive with seven minutes left. The Dining Hall is mostly empty, except for a few second-years who had nowhere better to go, their dragons perched on the balcony and a few smaller ones closer behind them.
I get in line, Aiden and Damian behind me. Only the scraps were left, consisting of pinto beans, potatoes, and steak. Our plates come out mostly empty, but that's good enough for me. The three of us take our seats at a table in the front of the room, as the area is the unofficial first-year area.
Starving and about to dine, I dig into the steak first. Out of nowhere, the tail of a small Sunup dragon hits me. My elbows knock against the plate, throwing it onto the ground. "Son of a BITCH", rage engulfs me. I haven't eaten today. My fault. But still. Goddamn.
