Snape really has something against my entire group. Every single one of us he has sent into detention for no fucking reason. My slight PDA, Mattheo for carrying a lighter, Draco for going to the bathroom too much, Enzo for not tucking in his shirt, and Blaise for talking. Daphne and Pansy have also been put in there for talking throughout an entire class, their best hobby.

I walk into detention early carrying books hoping I'll be able to study throughout the hour. The actual detention starts in five minutes so most people are here and Snap is standing out the front.

Someone basically throws the chair next to me to sit down.

"Why are you here?" I whisper to Theo who just stormed in.

"Got caught smoking." I roll my eyes at his stupidity smoking during school hours.

Opening up my books I start revising defence against the dark arts since it's the hardest class.

"Books closed." Snape slams his hand on my desk.

"You want me to sit here and do nothing?" This is the most stupid thing and even he knows because he just walks away. I go back to taking down notes and then pretend i'm doing nothing when Snape looks up from his desk.

Theo keeps making paper aeroplanes and throwing them to the back of the class and I may be egging him on by letting him know when Snape isn't looking.

Not sure what changed but Theo has been really talkative the past week, even to me. His mood has changed completely to his old energetic self.

When I said we didn't get along I wasn't completely telling the truth. The first couple of weeks I transferred to Hogwarts him and I got along really well. Until, as per usual, a switch flipped on him and he was stone cold towards me. Ever since, his mood stayed the same except for short snippets. Our random Astronomy tower date was just weird and meant nothing to either of us, obviously.

Detention goes for a brutal three hours from the end of school until dinner. Except, we are late to dinner so only get scraps which is the worst part of this detention.

After sitting in agony Snape frees us from his prison and Theo and I practically sprint to the dining hall.

"Fuck, dinners over." We both stop at the locked dining hall doors.

Chasing for air Theo looks at me, "let's sneak into the kitchen."

"Yep, let's go." I reply without a second thought. The meals we get everyday are complete magic but teachers and guests get food cooked for them in the kitchen.

We venture across the other side of the school avoiding Filch's regular routes. Making it to the kitchen we use a spell to open the door and then raid the fridge. Mid way through I receive a text from Fred.

[TEXT MESSAGES]

How was detention? Saved you some dinner if you want some.

Detention sucked but studied a bit. Not too hungry but thank you, wanna call later?

I can call now?

With Theo right now but will call when I'm back in my room x

Theo?

He got himself detention, call u in 10.

Don't worry abt it

Fuck, I didn't think that would upset Fred. He doesn't care about any of my guy friends, it must be because it's late or whatever. It's my birthday tomorrow so I hope we don't make this into a fight.

"Who is spamming you?" Theo turns around from his head being stuck in the fridge.

"Fred. Pass me the cheese." I divert the conversation.

"What does he want?"

"Saying good night." I'm lying because nobody needs to know what goes on between Fred and I, it's our relationship only. Our hall passes for that are Pansy and George, siblings only.

"Sure." He hands me the cheese. I can tell Theo doesn't believe me when I said Fred was just saying good night.

"Kay, I'm going." I feel bad for even speaking to Theo now because Fred is upset.

"I'm coming with." He runs after me.

We both walk back to our dorms and go our seperate ways. I call Fred but don't get an answer in return so I just go to sleep hoping this doesn't pass onto tomorrow.
