The Rose

to the Romance...

In the of Kingdom of Rosalve, on a hill, there was a bench where Rose sat on. She was waiting for Tom to arrive. He is very late to their regular hanging out. Rose can only wonder why.

She is wearing a red dress and yellow, gold-like footwear.

She cant help but look at stars. They look so beautiful in the night's sky. 

Around her bench, there are two metal lanterns that lit the area surrounding the bench.

While walking to Rose, Tom stops behind a tree and stands there for a moment. 

- Okay... you can do this. The worst she can say is "no" - said Tom to himself. He seems to be really taking this "hanging out" seriously.

He finally walked up to the bench. Rose was happy to see him.

- So you eventually arrived. I've been waiting for you, silly boy! - said Rose while smiling.

- Some things took my time away... - says Tom, scratching the back of his head.

Tom sat on the bench, next to Rose.

- You know, stars are lovely tonight - said Rose.

Tom nervously agreed.

- What's wrong, silly boy? - asked Rose.

- Oh- uh- nothing - quickly replied Tom.

- Hmm... you seem nervous, and not silly as usual - says Rose.

- Uh- Yeah- Tha- That's because i- i- i... decided to eat grass. You know the bad effects of eating grass - said Tom, with some stressed interruptions between his words.

Rose looked at him confused as she smiled.

- WHAT? - said Rose as she burst out laughing.

- Oh my god... classic silly boy - added Rose while she kept laughing.

Tom looked at her, smiling nervously.

- Yeah... the moon looks really big today. I remember it begin bigger, or maybe its just dementia kicking in. Im pretty sure the sun looks smaller than the half of what moon looks like - said Tom.

- That doesn't make any sense! - said Rose as she laughed a little, while she smiled.

Tom just looked at her while making a weird, silly face expression.

Rose laughed yet again. She seems very amused by Tom's weirdness and silly, nonsense words.

- Oh yeah! I forgot to take my amnestic pills! - said Tom before making a gesture of taking pills.

A second passed.

- I forgot to take my amnestic pills! - said Tom before making a gesture of taking pills yet again.

Then, another second.

- I forgot to take my amnestic pills! - said Tom before making a gesture of taking pills, again.

Tom kept repeating the same thing as Rose laughs harder than before, after which both of them just laugh.

- I love you! - said Rose.

Tom stopped laughing for a second and just smiled nervously. She probably just meant loving his silly jokes, but now that she said it, Tom thought of telling her something important. He just doesn't know how to start.

Rose stopped laughing as she looked at the night's sky again.

- Rose, i have to tell you something - said Tom in a bit serious tone.

Rose looks at Tom.

- What is it? - asks Rose.

- I- i.... - said Tom before he stopped.
