Seonghwa slowly opened his eyes, greeted by the sight of Hongjoong's face mere centimeters away. He could feel the warmth of Hongjoong's soft breath against his skin, sending a shiver down his spine.
Instinctively, Seonghwa felt the urge to move back, realizing their intimate position. Hongjoong's leg was draped over his, and his arm rested gently across Seonghwa's side. Uncertain of how to proceed without waking Hongjoong, Seonghwa opted to close his eyes again, feigning sleep while attempting to calm his racing heart.
Meanwhile, Hongjoong had been awake for some time, aware of their close proximity but choosing not to disrupt the moment. He kept his eyes closed, savoring the comfort of having Seonghwa so near. His acting was convincing enough that Seonghwa remained oblivious to his wakefulness.
Opening one eye subtly, Hongjoong observed Seonghwa pretending to sleep. He sensed the tension in Seonghwa's posture, a clear indicator that he was wide awake. A smile crept across Hongjoong's lips as he decided to play along, gently squeezing Seonghwa closer and pressing his cheek against Seonghwa's chest.
"Good morning," Hongjoong grumbled sleepily, his voice low and filled with warmth as he nuzzled closer to Seonghwa's head. Seonghwa's breath hitched slightly, torn between the desire to retreat in embarrassment and the sheer enjoyment of being close to Hongjoong.
"This feels nice," Hongjoong sighed contentedly, his breath stirring Seonghwa's tousled hair. They lingered in each other's arms, savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment until a familiar voice broke through the tranquility.
"You better come out right now, Captain! We need to trace the map!" Yeosang's voice echoed through the door, laced with urgency and a hint of impatience.
Hongjoong's playful grin faded as he exchanged a brief glance with Seonghwa, a mixture of amusement and resignation flickering in his eyes. Slowly, he disentangled himself from Seonghwa's embrace, reluctantly releasing him. With a regretful sigh, Hongjoong straightened up and moved to open the cabin door.
Seonghwa sat up, smoothing out his disheveled hair with a small smile playing on his lips. Despite the interruption, he couldn't suppress the warmth that lingered from their intimate moment. "I guess duty calls," he murmured softly to Hongjoong, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness.
Hongjoong nodded, giving Seonghwa a rueful smile. "Always at the most inconvenient times," he replied with a sigh, then turned his attention to the door. "Alright, Yeosang, give us a moment." His tone was firm yet laced with a touch of lingering reluctance.
"S-Sorry, I didn't realize you'd..." Yeosang's voice faltered as he dashed away
Seonghwa's panicked voice filled the room, breaking the silence that had settled between them. "Does he think we just... you know?" His tone betrayed a mix of embarrassment and disbelief.
Hongjoong chuckled softly, shaking his head as he moved closer to Seonghwa. "You have a wild imagination, precious," he teased gently, his hand reaching out to lightly touch Seonghwa's arm.
Seonghwa's cheeks flushed slightly as he met Hongjoong's gaze, a hint of playful defiance in his eyes. "Well, who knows what he might think," he replied with a smirk, his voice teasing yet affectionate.
Hongjoong grinned, leaning in to press a quick kiss against Seonghwa's cheek. "Let's leave him guessing," he murmured, his breath warm against Seonghwa's ear before pulling back slightly to look into his eyes.
