I woke up early.

I'm not a morning person... but I woke up early.

I quickly showered and got ready for school in a white leggings after debating whether it made my butt look too big. A black v-neck shirt and classic chucks and put on a white sweater.

I ran downstairs bumping into my aunt on the last step. "Damn little bitch... slow down."

I ignored her, trying to put my shoes on as quickly as possible, stumbling and losing my balance about three times trying.

"In a hurry to get to your mate." I could practically hear the smirk in her voice.

I sighed giving up; I sat on the floor and carefully put my shoes on. "No..." I lied.

She shook her head laughing. "You're a horrible liar... just like your mother. Oh do they know about your mate being hum..."

"No... and they won't know, until I tell them." I looked at her.

She threw her hands up. "What? I won't say anything... I haven't told a soul."

Just then the door swung open. Taylor came bragging in with Tara behind her. She looked at me and smile. "I heard you found your mate!" She squealed.

I glared at my aunt.

She bit her lip playing with her hands. "Except her..."

I walked into my first hour; my eyes instantly went to the back of the class in hopes to see Landon.

He wasn't there.

I sighed and went to sit down in the seat he sat me in yesterday.

I plugged my headphones in and started playing my playlist for The 1975.

First hour ended... Still no late Landon.

I went on through classes in hopes to see Landon somewhere in the hallways.

I practically ran to my English Lit.

But sadly...

Landon never showed.

*****

The next day at school, he didn't show up.

The weekend went pass torturously slow.

Monday came around, and I basically ran into the school when the car stopped.

He wasn't here.

Day's passed and still no sign of Landon.

It was now Friday.

My mind instantly thought the worse

Is he okay?

I walked out of my 6th hour and made my way towards my locker. I looked over and saw Luke awkwardly waiting by Tara's locker.

Maybe I can ask him about Landon...

I walked over towards him. "Hey..."

His eyes flickered towards me. "Hey"

"So... umm, I was wondering... uh..." I didn't know how to come out and say it.

He sent me a knowingly smirk. "Where Landon is... and why hasn't he been here... is he still alive"

I just nodded my head. I'm pretty sure my face matched a tomato.

He looked to be in deep thought for a moment. "Let me see your phone"

I frowned taking my phone out of my pocket and handing it to him.
