Author's POV
"YES, you girls actually don't know the thing. So better you keep your mouth shut" Abhimanyu speaks and the rest of the people have slammed their mouth shut as it was the first time Abhimanyu spoke.
"Enough, it's enough" Yuvika's father spoke sternly.
"I-I just.." Yuvika couldn't decipher a single word after her father rebuked her.
"Yuvika, I know things didn't went the way as we had planned but atleast try to understand the things. I know it's too much for a girl to suffer but still every person deserves a second chance and that's the reason I took Abhimanyu here with me knowing that it's your father's party. Abhimanyu didn't know anything it was all my plan to make the two meet each other". Atharva being a super calm guy explained to Yuvika.
"Okay, fine. You can explain everything according to your point of view and if there won't be a valid reason for him to perform such a crucial step you guys won't be seen here again and its my promise." Yuvika abbreviated.
"But at first explain the things to us what's actually happening and how do you know them?" Yuvika's mother, Aakruti spoke.
"He's abhi mom" I commended lowering my gaze.
"What? He is Abhi? The going to be fiance of Nalini? I-I.. heard that he broke the engagement?" Kaushal said getting inside the hall as he was busy checking and making the arrangements for the well return of the guests.
"I think we should not create a tragedy as he's a reputed member and we should not be talking about all this publicly" Yuvika's mom suggested and everybody agreed to it.
Nalini's POV
After the meet with him.
I had never thought that I would be able to meet him again. This meeting was causing severe pain at the bottom of my heart but also some corner of my heart was feeling pleased after seeing him after such a long period.
I was so happy since the evening as it was a prom night but this incident is making me die.
I was sitting at a corner of the room with all wet clothes wrapped around me, with my wet hairs and the A.C at the temperature of 16° in the month of December.
"Hey, Nalini you awake?" Yuvika knocks at the door.
"Ye-Yes I'm" I replied but not before having a sip of water.
"Want some help to have a sleep?" She asks entering the room and giving me a soothing hug.
"I think so but I don't wanna sleep only" I somehow told.
"Is that about.." She was gonna ask unless I broke into uncontrollable sobs.
Abhimanyu's POV
It had been 3 years since I saw her. Holding her in my arms made me recall all the past happenings. I still do remember everything about her and I think, why did I marry Stuti? Was it fate or was it my stupidness that I did hurt her even though it wasn't her fault.
I was thinking all this, then a servant came in.
"My lord, here's the buttermilk" She uttered.
"Hmm, keep it on the table" I ordered her and then she went away.
"Why the hell did you agreed staying here?" Atharva asserted impatiently.
I didn't reply and he went to the bed grabbing the blanket and pillow and got off to sleep. But I wasn't able to sleep as I was regretting my entire life.
It had been 3:00 in the morning, I couldn't sleep so I was standing in the balcony for the last 2 hours. As I was standing at the balcony side and I saw a entity standing down there under the trees.
I didn't knew her but I felt some attraction towards her and I went to the gardens side where the entity was visible through the balcony. I didn't say anything and stood beside her.
After a few moments when I saw her face I was surprised to find Nalini there but she didn't notice me as if she was looking up to the sky and overthinking her entire life.
"Hey? Nalini?" I approached her.
She stared at me and didn't uttered a single word and walked out of the spot."J know I broke your heart but still atleast can we talk please" I cried.
She stopped and looked at me and gave me a 'but you abandoned me' look.Author's POV
Abhimanyu was regretting his decision of marrying Stuti and leaving Nalini at her lowest. But at that time Abhimanyu did love Nalini but Stuti had always been a hater of Nalini and wanted Abhimanyu to be her own.
On the other hand, Nalini was so hurt that she herself didn't know, what is in his heart?
Nalini was once thinking about the beautiful moments spent together and the next moment her eyes were wet. Nalini was going through a blunder of emotions.
*beep*
Nalini's phone rang and interrupted their thoughts."Yes, beta. Mommy will come by tomorrow. I've stuck in a important work I'll be back till tomorrow. Just till tomorrow stay with your grand mother." She soothed Mandira.
"YES, honey mumma loves you. Now, you go to sleep." And by saying this she disconnected the call.
"Who's she? Mandira?" Abhimanyu asked enthusiastically.
"My daughter Mandira" I replied having an eye contact.
Abhimanyu didn't say anything and assumed that Nalini has already married someone. And to be honest it isn't a shock that Nalini is already married because Nalini is actually magnificent and sweet as honey.
They started gawking at the stars and remaining silent and when both of them fell asleep none knew.
"Nalini" Yuvika called for her.
Nalini woke up and her eyes widened with shock as she was sleeping in the arms of Abhimanyu cuddled with each other.
"I-I don't know about all this mess" She admitted in broken words.
Abhimanyu too woke up hearing all the chaos and was very ashamed of his mischievous deed that he didn't commit in his senses.
The three of them left the garden and went to their respective rooms and freshened up.
Nalini wore a floral printed long dress with minimal jewellry and makeup.
Everybody gathered in the dinning for breakfast except for Abhimanyu. He was not at his room not in the bathroom neither in the bungalow or garden or his car.
Atharva was also unaware where Abhimanyu suddenly vanished and why?
Nalini managed to eat something even though she didn't to have anything. The morning past by and still Abhimanyu was missing.
After two hours someone entered in the house. Nalini saw Abhimanyu entering as she was sitting in the hall with the entire family and Yuvika.
"Flowers for you, Miss" Abhimanyu bows infront of Nalini with a lovable smile adoring his handsome face, offering the rose bouquet to her.
"Are you kidding me?" Nalini spoke furiously.
She jerked off and stood up.
"I won't accept any kind of couching or courtesies or gifts from a family man". Nalini shouted exasperately..........................................................................
