Chapter Three

Cole's P.O.V

I still couldn’t get Elle off my mind..God what was wrong with me? I haven’t even had a real conversation with the girl and I’m already acting like a lovestruck idiot..How worse could this get?! Did I mention I think she thinks I’m some sort of stalker as well? I saw her out with Sadie and the first thing that crossed my mind was “oh theres Sadie, I should probably go and say hi to her” and then when I saw the girl next to her I froze and hid behind the nearest tree I saw. Next thing I know Elle turns around and catches my stare and rushes throughout the street even faster than usual. I knew I screwed things up…maybe I should talk to Sadie about it? Shes never seems to mind; anyways how do the two even know each other?! So many questions poured into my mind with no answers. What about John Luke!? Maybe I could talk to him! The only thing I did know for sure was that I was sure as hell not getting dating advice from Si…………A few minutes later, I decided to give John Luke a call

Cole: Hey dude I need your advice on something, wanna meet up in twenty?

John Luke: Sure that’s fine; I had something to tell you to so I’ll see you then

*call ended*

I don’t know why, but I felt really nervous all of the sudden. Its not like I was going to tell Elle herself that I was falling afar for her and hard, but telling John Luke? I wasn’t even sure if he would take me seriously. I walked out of my house, grabbed the keys, and drove away to John Luke’s place.

Ten Minutes Later:

I got off, shut the door, and rang the doorbell. I waited for a few minutes and just as I was about to leave a brunette hair girl with long wavy hair finally opened the door. At first I thought it was Sadie, I mean who else could be home? But then I saw it was Elle. I froze again, my palms were starting to get sweaty, and I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Instead my cheeks started to blush in a shade of deep crimson and we stood there for what seemed like hours until she started talking.

Elle: What are you doing here?!?!?

Cole: I-I was looking for John Luke

Elle: Oh..I didn’t realize you two were friends

Cole: (thinking: I didn’t realize she knew him already…wait why wouldn’t she? She was Sadie’s friend after all) Yeah I guess you can say that

Elle: * looks back* He just left, he said he was going to his cousins place or something like that..Sadie asked me to open the door because were the only two people here and she was in the shower so…

Cole: That’s fine! Just don’t worry about it..

Elle: *closing door*

Cole: WAIT!

Elle: *opens the door again* Yes?

Cole: (thinking: I don’t know what came over me all I knew is that I just had to talk to her more) Ummmm look I’m really sorry

Elle: *taken aback* Why would you apologize? You didn’t do anything (thinking: I don’t know why I said that, I actually deserved an apology from what a creeper hes being

Cole: Yes I did, actually I still don’t think you forgave me for how I acted at the airport, or when I accidently crossed paths with you and I could tell you thought I was stalking you, or when I act like a jerk to hide the fact that I’m actually a nervous wreck.

Elle: Then why are you a nervous wreck all the time because if that’s true you’re a jerk all the time (thinking: was I to harsh this time? I mean he was apologizing…)

Cole: ……*silence*………..Anyways I need to try and find John Luke, by the way you look really pretty today..Tell Sadie I said hi and hopefully I’ll see you again soon *winks* (thoughts: I could feel my cheeks burning the entire time and a small part of me wanted this all to be over so after I said that, I ran to my mule so that I could meet up with John Luke at my place)

Elle’s P.O.V

I watched him drive off into the sunset..now that I think of it, it was nice for him to apologize..not to mention I thought he was really cute.wait what am I saying?! Correction: only slightly cute and anyways he seemed really genuine about the whole thing and I could tell from him blushing so much how nervous he really was when he saw me, I saw his entire body tense up just at the sight of me..was I really that bad?! Back home everyone loved me, was it going to be the same here? Five minutes later I was still found to be standing behind the door still wide open with nobody there just lost in my thoughts until I heard a voice say, “whos at the door?” only to see me standing with no one actually here. I quickly slammed the door close and told Sadie that it was just a friend of John Luke’s who came by. “Oh okay then!” Then she left to go back upstairs and told me to follow her up so that’s exactly what I did.

Cole’s P.O.V

I couldn’t believe what I just did. I was still shaking from our conversation. I guess I just had to suck it up and do something that I didn’t think I had in me to do. I left John Luke’s place and started driving back to my place. I then texted him to wait for me where he’s at.

Ten Minutes Later:

Before I knew it I was locking my car door and heading inside to find John Luke sitting on the couch with my little sister, Mia. He got up and walked over to where I was standing

John Luke: Hey Coleman

Cole: Hey John Luke…look I need to talk to you about something? Can we go outside so nobody hears our conversation?

John Luke: Trying to hide things huh?! So what did you do now? Probably something stupid, just guessing

Cole: No its not like that…..its about a girl.

John Luke: Welcome to manhood dude. Anyways so I’m guessing you like her and want me to help you put the moves on her, right??!  

Cole: Not exactly…I just need your advice

John Luke: Go ahead then

Cole: Well I don’t think she likes me..she had a really bad first impression of me.

John Luke: Where did you meet this chick at?

Cole: The airport, but-

John Luke: You met a girl once at the airport and your already crushing on her?! She must be hot if you like her! You’ve only liked one other girl in your life and look how that ended. You’ll probably never even see her again! Why wou-

Cole: Just stop please! And even though I met her at the airport she turned out to be the girl next door, literally

John Luke: Oh..then I see your dilemma

Cole: So..?

John Luke: If I were you, I’d stop acting like an ass in front of her and pull your act together!

Cole: *taking notes*

John Luke: Your actually writing this down?!

Cole: *blushes* If I don’t then I’ll probably forget it, I’m still nervous seeing her, just thinking about it make me feel…I don’t know

John Luke: Yeah man I know the feeling.. *thinks about Elle*
