I'm questioning my choices. Should I make a funny or a lovely apology card? You know, Maximo? THIS. SHOULDN'T. BE. A. CHOICE. FOR. YOU. TO. MAKE.

Ordinary people would know what to do. But, no, your life has to be crazy and unorganized. Like that just for the sake of everyone. I finally decided on a funny apology card.

The Funny Apology in question:

Dear Kiarra,
'I'm sorry for being as quiet as a mime with laryngitis. I promise to chatter like a talkative parrot next time! Lots of love. Your one and only, Maximo. ❤️'

I hope she finds it funny. As I pull into the driveway, I almost crash my car, looking at her. She is gorgeous. The green spaghetti strap, probably a silk dress, looks like it's made just for her.

Her hair was in a slick back bun with two front hair pieces to frame her face. Now that I'm studying opposite her, I look into her eyes deeply. I gulp down. She is wearing gold makeup.

No. Did I misunderstand something? When I first saw her, she was wearing silver jewelry. Every time. No matter the occasion. Will she hate the earrings? I'll return them if she doesn't like them.

Still, I would seem so stupid if I gave her silver earrings and she wore gold jewelry. 'You look beautiful tonight.' I focus on her eyes. 'Yeah, and I'm ugly all the other days.'

She laughs at her own joke. God, I hope she doesn't get upset about my apology card. 'I wanted to give you something.' I take out an envelope from my pocket and give it to her.

Inside the envelope is the famous card and a check for €77,777. Not a lot of money, but seven is her favorite number. She reads the card first. She bursts out laughing.

The weight came off my chest. Kiarra liked it. Thank Goodness. Now, on to the check. She reads it, and I can't help but notice the sparkle in her eyes. She giggles at the piece of paper.

'€77,777. You could've just taken me to a cheap restaurant. I know, I would've enjoyed it.' But I wouldn't. It's not that simple. 'Mi Vida, let's go. We have a reservation to get to.'

I take her fragile hand in mine, and as the passenger princess, that she is, I open the for her. There lay the 100 roses. She smiles at them and kisses me. This night might not be that bad after all.

I'm talking to the receptionist at the restaurant. We get seated at the best table. Outside, near the lake, with low lights and fresh air. Thank you, mom.

We ordered the food and started talking. 'I want to give you something as a sorry for being an ass!' She giggles at my statement. Cute. 'All this, and you still had to give something?'

'Shush!' I pull out the packaged box. She untied the red ribbon and opened the box. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of the earrings. 'Thank you! I love them.' Her eyes are still locked on the earrings.

'No big deal. Do you want me to help you put the earrings on?' She nods her head and gives me the earrings. I struggled with the hook at first but somehow locked them in place.

'Am I forgiven?'
'You are.'

I smile and kiss her on the lips.
