it's monday, i'm at school
george is no where to be seen so he probably skipped
i'm kind of upset, he said he'd be here today and it's already fourth period
i get a text from my phone
we're watching a video in class
it's basically reviewing what we already know so i don't think i'll get in trouble for being on my phone
i go on my phone two texts from karl
karl
i don't think he's here
he's usually in this class and his seat is empty

i turn off my phone, while also trying to hide my smile
i put my phone back into my pocket and go back to watching the video
the video was boring but it's school so it's obviously gonna be boring

it was lunch
i was sitting in the cafeteria with sapnap, we were the first ones to get here
we waited for the others, karl and george
today we had george, larray's group would have him tuesdays and thursdays
i see karl and george walk towards up, george looked tired
george say next to me and karl sat next to sapnap
"what's wrong?" i ask george, sapnap and karl immediately began talking to each other, so i'd figure to do the same
"i stayed up late, i'm soo tired" george says "damn we should skip the rest of today" i say
"yeah maybe" george says laying his head on the table
"maybe? it's a yes or no" i say "yes" george says
"guys were skipping the rest of the day" i say "bro, georgeee" karl says
"i'm tired" george says "then you shouldn't have spent all night awake playing with andrew" karl says
"who's andrew?" i ask "one of his old friends" karl answers
"yeah he moved away but now he's back, i saw him at the store a couple weeks ago" george says
"oh" i say "don't get sad, he's just a friend" karl says "i'm not sad" i say
"well just saying" karl shrug
"can we talk about something else, this andrew boy sounds annoying" sapnap says
"andrew's actually really nice but sure" george says
"yeah yeah anyways so i overheard melanie talking about esme and her boyfriend" sapnap says
"what was she saying?" i ask
"she's planning on getting with esmes boyfriend behind her back and kissing him at prom" sapnap says
"we should tell esme, she's so sweet and doesn't deserve that" karl says
"who's esmes boyfriend?" george asks
"alejandro, curly haired one, also karl that's a bad idea" sapnap says
"why?" i ask "we have no proof and esmes kinda slow, she won't believe you" sapnap says
"i mean melanies always talking about esme, it won't be hard to record her" george says
"true true" sapnap says
"i have a plan" karl says
"what is it?" i ask "wait let me go call esme over" karl says
before we could disagree, karls already out of his seat and to esmes table
two minutes later he comes back with esme
"karl i'm scared, is alejandro cheating on me?" esme asks
"kinda, i don't know, let me explain" karl says
"so basically melanies talking behind your back, she said she's gonna get with alejandro and kiss him at your prom" karl says
"what!? do you have proof?" esme asks "no but that's why i brought you here" karl says
"basically i'm gonna pretend to talk shit about you with melanie and record it" karl says
"um okay then, you have a class with her after lunch, record that then send it to me" esme says
esme looked like she wanted to cry, karl gave her a hug
"i'm sorry girl" karl says "it's fine, thank you for telling me" esme says

apparently karl had sent esme the proof, i'm supposed to be going to p.e. but esmes fighting with melanie in the hallway
everyone's surrounding them, as they fight each other, crazy how'd they been friends since elementary
"esme stop, i think it's time for me to get with melanie, you're boring me" alejandro speaks up
esme looks mad as hell, she runs towards alejandro and tackles him
"OOHH" people yell as melanie tries to pull her off
one of esmes friends join in and begin beating on melanie, melanies in tears
"GET TO CLASS NOW, OR YOUR ALL IN DETENTION" principal yells, with four security guards behind him
everyone and i begin running to our classes
i enter p.e. with a bunch of other kids who were watching the fight
there was barely anyone when we entered, four kids, plus our teacher
'why are almost all of you late" he says
i raise my hand
"clay?" he asks "i couldn't get through because of the crowd, there was a fight in the hallway" i say
i lied about the not getting through part, i just don't want to be in trouble
"hm" he says "caleb?" he says "same as clay" caleb says
"sorry mister, the fight was like so tea" some girl says, i don't know her name
he rolls his eyes, trying not to smile
"alright then, everybody stand by the wall i'm going to take attendance" he says
