~3rd Person POV~
In the magnificent and magical place of Mount Olympus, various gods and goddesses were gathered in the same room to greet the two newest additions to the family.
Hera stood in the corner of the room, holding both of her children in each arm as they giggled and squirmed in her hold.
"Children!" She chuckled softly at their liveliness. Hercules reached up and took his mother's headband, leaving both babies to laugh at her reaction.
"Behave yourselves." She said softly as she formed a large cradle out of clouds.
Hera placed the babies in their bed and took her headband back, smiling softly at her little babies.
Hercules was a small boy with glowing orange skin, equally as bright blond hair, and wide curious blue eyes. Around his neck was a large medal that had a lightning bolt across it.
(Y/n) was a sweet little girl with (s/c) skin and (h/c) hair that also glowed. Her (e/c) eyes were attentive to her mother's struggle as she handled both babies. The little girl also had a little medal with the same print on it.
Hera backed away as the twins' father, Zeus, cooed at his babies.
"Oh, look at this, look how cute they are..." He made noises and wiggled his fingers in front of the two. The babies babbled and took his index fingers, easily picking the god up and holding him in the air.
"Hah! Oh, they're strong! Like their Dad, hmm?"
A skinny blue man, known as Hermes, flew around the party as he spoke quickly. "Whoa! Excuse me! Hot stuff coming through! Excuse me one side, Ares." He came to a screeching halt in front of Hera and held out a bouquet of flowers.
The goddess gasped in surprise and gently took the flowers. "Why, Hermes! They're lovely." The man hummed as he fiddled with his golden cane. "Yeah, you know, I had Orpheus do the arrangement. Isn't that too nutty?"
He zoomed over towards Zeus and quickly shook his hand. "Fabulous party, you know, I haven't seen this much love in a room since Narcissus discovered himself!"
Across the room was a handsome purple man holding up a mirror and making kissy faces to himself.
While Zeus was distracted, Hercules took one of his father's lightning bolts and played around with it. (Y/n) took notice of her brother playing, reached out a small arm, and swatted at the object.
"Dear, keep those away from the babies." Hera lightly scolded her husband.
Zeus only shrugged and turned towards his wife. "Oh, they won't hurt themselves. Let the kids have a little fun!" As he finished that sentence, Hercules put a piece of the bolt in his mouth and shocked himself, causing a little shock to touch the girl from her continuous swatting.
Both children paused and started to cry at the shock, causing Hercules to throw the lightning bolt across the room. The gods and goddesses panicked and swiftly dodged the incoming weapon. Athena held up her sword and hit the bolt in another direction, sending it through a pillar and out of the room.
Hera picked up her babies and held them in the crook of her arms, looking at the two with pure love and fondness. Zeus lightly patted his daughter on the head and addressed the crowd.
"Oh, on behalf of my son and daughter, I want to thank you all for your wonderful gifts." He gestured to the large pile of gifts in a corner of the room.
"What about our gift, dear?" Hera asked her husband.
The god put a finger on his chin in thought. "Well, let's see here.." He took a small piece of cloud and formed them together. "We'll take... hmm, yes, a little cirrus, and... hmm, a touch of nimbostratus, and a dash of cumulus."
A little cloud in the form of an animal sat in his hands, now held out towards the curious twins. (Y/n) swatted at the cloud and magically, a real pegasus appeared. The twins made a sound of surprise at the animal. "His name is Pegasus, and he's all yours, you two." The little white animal with blue hair stared at the equally as entranced babies.
The pegasus sniffed the two curiously until Hercules grabbed the animal by the head and bonked heads, making the animal neigh happily and fly in between the babies, allowing them to hold the pegasus close.
The gods sighed happily at the sweet scene.
Hera gently transferred both babies into Zeus's arms, a look of fear on his face. "Mind their head." She instructed. Zeus's look of caution melted away as he stared at his son and daughter. "They're so tiny." He stated softly, fondly looking at the two.
Hercules tried to chew on his medallion as (Y/n) yawned comfortably by being in her father's large arm. "My children. My little Hercules and my little (Y/n)." Zeus lowered his children into their cradles and tucked them in.
"How sentimental."
On the side of the room stood Hades, a greyish-skinned man with blue flames for hair and a dark grey robe. "You know, I haven't been this choked up since I got a hunk of moussaka caught in my throat! Huh?" He looked towards the gods for a reaction to his joke, instead, the group stared at him sternly.
"So, is this an audience or a mosaic?" He muttered as he walked in between the crowd. "Hey, how you doin'? Lookin' good. Nice dress."
Zeus pulled the man into a side hug as he laughed. The god of the underworld did not seem impressed. "So Hades, you finally made it. How are things in the Underworld?"
The darker man took the god's arm off his shoulder. "Well, they're just fine, you know, a little dark, a little gloomy, and as always, hey-- full of dead people. What are you gonna do?"
He took notice of the two babies and moved Zeus out of the way. "Ah! There's the little sunspot and the little smootchie. And here is a sucker for the little suckers, eh?" The babies babbled and smiled at the god. Hades magically made two skeleton rattles appear in his hand and hovered over the cradle. "Here you go. Ya just--" Each baby took his hand and shook him around, breaking his fingers.
Hades eventually yanked his hands away from the babies as Pegasus neighed happily at the scene. The god stared at his two broken fingers and grumbled. "Sheesh! Uh, powerful little tykes."
Zeus grabbed Hades again and pulled him to his side. "Come on, Hades, don't be such a stiff, join the celebration!" Hades pulled away and ran a hand over his head. "Hey, love to, babe, but unlike you gods lounging about up here, I regrettably have a full-time gig that you, by the way, so charitably bestowed on me, Zeus." He got up close to the smiling lightning god's face before backing up again. "So.. can't. Love to, but can't."
Zeus sighed and looked at the god. "You ought to slow down, you'll work yourself to death..." He suddenly laughed. "Hah! work yourself to death!" The party laughed at the play on words. Zeus fell back onto a chair made out of clouds and laughed harder. "Oh, I kill myself."
"If only, if only.." Hades muttered, walking out of the party.
