"You're joking. You cannot make a cross joint," Sienna scoffs at me from her spot on the couch.

I can't help my grin in response as I get everything I will need but otherwise remain quiet. Sienna rubs on her dog, the hound stretched out on his back next to her, as well as Mozz who sits next to her feet. Once Bodhi brought both pups inside and made sure that Sienna was content he headed to the construction site. I had to basically spray him with the hose before he finally left, though.

Will definitely be giving him shit for that later.

"Watch and be amazed," I jib as I begin the process.

Sienna shakes her head as she turns her attention to the tv behind me and I take the opportunity to observe her. I wasn't kidding at breakfast. She is looking better, despite being carried by Killian into the kitchen this morning. Her bruising has gone down and she can open both eyes now.

But her slow pace was a tad concerning. I already texted the doc and he assured me that it is normal. But if it doesn't improve within a few days to bring her through and he'll give her a check up.

I don't tell her this, though.

No, I simply roll the cross joint as she chuckles at a Modern Family episode that's playing. I listen as Phil and Clare bicker as I finish our smoking method before I sit on the ground next to Mozz.

"I give you the cross joint," I extend the joint to her and watch as she oohs and ahhs over it like a kid.

"Holy fuck nuts. I've never seen something so beautiful," her blue eyes are trained on the device as she praises it. "It's almost a shame to smoke it."

I laugh as I hold up two lighters and wait for her to put it between her lips before I light the two side parts and finally the one in the front.

"Not to be that guy- but you may want to go slow. They can knock even my dick in the dirt," I admit bashfully as she takes a baby hit.

Sienna hands it back to me and I get comfy on the floor as we pass the joint and watch tv. I'm usually the one who fills the silence, mainly with corny jokes, but right now I don't feel the need to. I'm semi shocked when I realize that I'm totally okay with this quiet bubble we're in, just handing the joint back and forth while watching a show.

It's nice.

I hand the joint over my head to Sienna and wait for her to take it but when my arm starts to go numb I look back to her, wondering if she's paying attention. I see that she has curled herself around her dog and that her mouth is hanging open as she breathes in and out, deep in sleep. I watch as Donnie nuzzles her neck and as Sienna smiles in her sleep at the gesture before she snores softly once more.

Chuckling under my breath I put the joint out for later before I take a blanket off the love seat and throw it over the pair of them, making sure that both of their faces have access to air. After they're covered up I decide to run up and grab one of my laptops so I can get back to looking for that scum bag. But for some reason I don't want to stay in my room to do the task.

I don't want her waking up alone.

A few minutes later I have a bag of Doritos, a few little Debbie's and my laptop in my arms when I get back to the living room. After checking that she is still asleep I make myself comfy on the opposing love seat before I continue my work.

I haven't had any luck with spotting him via security or street cameras all over the city yet. Thanks to the Black Op attire the perpetrators were wearing that night I have no facial features to go off of either, which makes the search that much longer. My hope is that he will have to seek medical attention for the bites that Sienna's hound took out of him; resulting in checking the nearest walk-ins, hospitals, even vet clinics for any signs of him.

Munching on my chips I scan through the cameras that are the most easy to hack into; stoplight cameras and business security systems. Growling in frustration I fight the urge to punch something, refraining when my noise of displeasure seems to make Sienna stir slightly. I run a hand through my hair as I look at my laptop, willing something to pop up.

Ring. Ring. Ri-

"Shittt," I grab my phone and silence it before looking to make sure the noise didn't wake Sienna. Seeing that she's still asleep I let out a breath as I walk out of the living room to answer the call.

"Hey Doc. What's up?"

There is ruffling on the other end before I hear him clear his throat.

"I think I may have your...friend in my walk in," his voice is pitched low, like he is trying to be quiet with the call.

Everything else disappears into the background as I concentrate on the noises I hear on the phone. The telltale of machines beeping and light chatter are the only sounds I can now hear.

"You think?"

"I'm almost positive. His injuries match the description that you boys gave me to a T. He isn't carrying an ID or any sort of insurance," a door is closed and the sounds fade away. "I am about to compare the bite wound on him to the cast we took of Siennas dog but I wanted to call you first."

My grip on my cell phone tightens to the point that I hear the device creak and I have to remind myself to calm down.

"Keep him there. I'm alone with Sienna but I will get ahold of Lennox."

The sound of shuffling papers comes through before, "Roger that,"

I end the call without saying anything else before immediately dialing Len. He doesn't make me wait long, answering the call on the second ring.

"Is everything okay?"

I roll my eyes as I check that Sienna is still out before walking down the hall.

"Doc thinks he's got the guy we've been looking for," I answer.

There's screaming on the other end before I hear a door being slammed shut, the noise of a man in pain ending suddenly.

"He fucking thinks?"

I can't help the eye roll as I kick at the floor of the hallway.

"Yeah. Guess the injuries he's got match what the douchebag would have. He's about to compare the bite marks to the casting he took and get back with me," as I speak I hear a text come through and check it quick.

"And we have the cocksucker. The bite marks match Donnie's dentals perfectly," I supply quickly.

Lennox sighs deeply on the other side of the call.

"Okay. We're about to wrap this shit up. Be there in fifteen," my brother's deep voice is laced with venom as he hangs up on me.

"You're welcome," I grouse to my now dark cell phone as I go to put it in my pocket before I walk back down the hall. But I stop dead when I see that Sienna is awake and now standing in the hall, leaning heavily on the threshold of the living room.

"I want him," her voice is thick from sleep even as her eyes shine with a clarity I have yet to see in her.

"Wh-?"

She shakes her head, those long braids of hers swinging with the motion as she starts to make her way to where I stand.

"I. Want. Him."

I don't insult her by asking what she means, who she is talking about as I watch her slowly walk to me. I stay quiet as she stands to her full height, coming up to my chest and she tilts her head back to stare into my eyes.

"He's mine to deal with."

Her voice holds no room for an argument and I don't want her upsetting herself so I just nod my head at her order. Sienna watches as I send the text to Lennox, telling him that once they get the piece of shit back here he is all hers to handle.

Sienna waits till the texts whooshes before she looks to me again, this time with a smile on her mouth.

"I knew that we'd get along just fine, Jhett."

I roll my eyes at her even though I get a warm feeling in my chest at her mirth.

"Yeah well let's just see how well Len takes orders from you when they get home."
