[Requested] Ideal Types • Got7's JaeBum / JB x You (Jamie)

Scenario: When you get asked about your ideal type then you happen to bump into him somewhere and he brings it up

"And today, we have Jamie as our guest on ASC!" On cue, you enter the set, bowing to Eric Nam and Kevin before waving at the cameras with a wide smile on your face. You then take your seat. You try your best to not let your nervousness show. If anyone were to look closely, they'd be able to tell that you're shaking. You're still camera shy even after several shows and events.

The show goes on with the hosts asking you questions regarding your ability to adapt to the environment in Korea, your new album and what it's about, your current progress on promoting your album, the kind of response you're getting as well as questions about yourself. Being an independent artist who produces and composes her own music, you're highly commended by others due to your ability in garnering a great amount of fans.

"There's a lot of competition in the Korean music industry so it's rather difficult for an independent artist to garner attention, especially since you started from the very bottom. Would you mind telling us more about that?" Kevin asks to which you willingly gave your answer.

"It wasn't easy because when I started, I was a nobody. But I started putting myself out there by participating in shows, competitions and events. Through that, I promote myself as an artist and slowly, people started to complement my music, buying my music, spreading the word about me. People started attending my mini performances. I kept gaining positive responses and now-"

"You have a big fanbase." Eric continues to which you nod with a smile.

"And I'm sincerely thankful to each and every one of them who has supported me continuously." You add.

"Now let's move on to the next section. I'll pick out some questions asked by fans on Twitter and you'll answer them." Kevin says to which you nod.

"First question. Noona, are you dating anyone and if not, are you looking for a relationship?" At the end of the question, the three of you laugh.

"I'm not dating anyone at the moment and as for the next part of that question, I would have to say that I'm not looking for a relationship right now. I want to have a stable career and life before I start venturing into my love life. I wouldn't mind going out with the person and getting to know him more though. I'm one to think ahead so I'm very careful when choosing to be in a relationship." You answer to which the hosts replied with nods and "Ahh".

"Second question. Are you a fan of any idol groups?" Eric reads out. At the sound of that, Kevin suggests his group, U-Kiss, with wriggling brows. This elicits a laugh from you followed by a shake of the head, to Kevin's disappointment. In response, Eric laughs.

"Actually, the group I really like was a guest of this show last week."

"Ahh, Got7?" Eric says and receives a smiling nod from you.

"Do you have a favourite member?" Kevin asks after recovering from the mild heart break.

"Mmm...Jae Bum...sunbae." You slowly answer before confirming with a few nods.

"He's very charming but has a very silly side to him too." You casually add, trying to not let your shyness reveal itself. You're just glad the question is simply that and not something else or you'd be frozen on the spot. No words can describe your relief but little did you know, the worst has yet to come.

"Last question. Is there anyone who happens to be your ideal type?" Upon hearing that, your heart skips a beat and you tense up a little. Your shyness begins to show as you remain silent and avoid all eye-contact. Noticing this, Kevin calls out your name, snapping you back into reality.

Hesitantly, you answer. "Jae Bum sunbae..."

"Eh? So he isn't only your favourite member from your favourite group but also your ideal type?" You shyly nod, a sheepish grin on your face.

"Why is that? What makes him your ideal type?" Kevin asks.

"Uhm...he has a really charming smile and really nice eyes too. My ideal type is someone who can be charming even through his eyes and smile, someone who is pretty laid-back but carries out his responsibility well and someone who can easily make me laugh. He fits that description perfectly." You say, giving out a nervous laugh at the end.

"Why don't you send a video message to him?" Eric suggests teasingly. Surprised, you ask him to repeat what he has just said in which he does. He then directs you to the camera and tells you to pass a message to him. It takes you a while to process what's happening before you let out a shy laugh. Looking into the camera, you hold back ever so slightly.

"Jae Bum sunbae, I'm a very big fan of you and your group..." You trail off, hesitating your next selection of words. "Maybe we could go out for a drink with me or have a meal together someday." With that, you end off by singing the opening line of Got7's song I Like You. Realising what you've just done, you squirm into your hands as your face goes red. Meanwhile, the two hosts cringe at your video message, making comments about how cheesy it is.

"He - he won't actually see that right?" You ask, suddenly realizing the situation.

A week later, you're backstage, making your back to your dressing room after just ending your performance. Before you know it, you bump into a figure. Looking up, you prepare yourself to apologise until you notice who the person is. As he stares down and smiles at you, you feel your knees going week and chills going up and down your spine.

Snapping out of the trance, you take a step back, bow and say, "Sorry about that, didn't actually see where I was going."

"That's okay. Jamie, right?" Hearing that, your mind goes blank again.

He knows my name. You think to yourself. Noticing that he's still waiting for a reply, you give a light nod.

"So...the video message?" He says, his tone playful. Your eyes widen as you look at him.

"You saw it?" You ask, earning a nod from him.

"I'm actually a fan of you and your music so when I heard that you're gonna be a guest on that show, I decided to watch it." He grins. Not knowing how to reply, you remain silent as you mentally facepalm yourself again and again, silent chiding yourself for ever doing that video message. The air that surrounds the two of your grows silent as awkwardness overwhelms your being. Unsure of what to say or do, you decide to stare at the floor instead. After what feels like hours, you decide to excuse yourself but before you can do so, he strikes you with a question.

"So...do you actually want to go out for lunch or a drink some time or am I taking that video message a little too seriously?" He says, grinning as he rubs the back of his head with his hand. Once again, your brain goes on panic mode and decides to shut down, making you look stupid for at least five seconds.

"Uh, I, yeah, um, sure, I." Giving yourself a mental slap on the face, you tell yourself to get your shit together before looking up at him and saying, "I'd like that."

Hearing that, his smile widens as his gaze lingers on yours. Seconds go by and you're still staring at each other. In the far distance you hear two familiar voices.

"He shoots," says Jr.

"He scores!" Jackson finishes. Your face grows even redder as you break the eye-contact and shift your gaze to the floor instead. You can feel Jae Bum trying to hide his shyness as he begins to shift the weight on his foot. That's when you hear the same two people singing the opening line of I Like You, just like how you did in the video message and suddenly you feel like covering your face with a bag before anyone mistakens you for a tomato.

"Yah!" He calls out, turning to look at them. After hearing their giggles followed by their shuffling footsteps growing distant, you know they're no longer near. Looking up, you meet his eyes once more.

"So...I guess you've met two of the idiots I'm living with."
