"A Friend's Silence: Sarah Mitchell on Jeff Woods"

Interviewer: "Sarah, thank you for agreeing to talk with us. Can you tell us a bit about how you first met Jeff Woods?"

Sarah Mitchell: (nervously shifts in her seat) "Um, sure. I first met Jeff in gym class. Max introduced us. Jeff seemed really shy at first, but he was nice. We started hanging out more, and he became a good friend."

Interviewer: "What was your impression of Jeff when you got to know him better?"

Sarah Mitchell: "He was... complicated. Jeff had a lot of struggles, but he was also brave and determined. He tried really hard to fit in, even when it was difficult. I admired that about him."

Interviewer: "There were rumors about Jeff having a difficult time with some students. Can you elaborate on that?"

Sarah Mitchell: (pauses, looking uncomfortable) "Yeah, there were some bullies who gave him a hard time. But Jeff... Jeff fought back. He didn't let them push him around. It was hard for him, but he stood his ground."

Interviewer: "I understand this is a sensitive topic, but can you tell us about your last interactions with Jeff before he went missing?"

Sarah Mitchell: (visibly tense, looking down) "I'd rather not talk about that. It's... it's too painful."

Interviewer: "I see. It must be difficult, considering everything that happened. Is there anything you want people to know about Jeff?"

Sarah Mitchell: (takes a deep breath) "Jeff was a good person who got caught up in something terrible. He didn't deserve what happened to him. I just... I hope people remember that he tried his best, even when things got really dark."

Interviewer: "Thank you, Sarah. We appreciate you sharing what you could."

Sarah Mitchell: (nodding, tears welling up) "Thank you."
