Luke didn't remember why he was crying.

So many pills and too much tequila slid down his throat.

But, he had the strongest urge to call Ashton.

So what did intoxicated Luke do?

He called Ashton.

"L-luke? Why are you calling me at 2 in the morning?" a deep voice ashton whispered.

"I was j-just checking up o-on you buddy!" Luke slurred, hiccuping.

"Are you drunk Luke?"

"W-what? Of course not a-ashy." He paused. "Hey. Why havent you came over lately?" He took a shaky breath, whispering, "I miss you."

And suddenly he was crying again, sobering up some.

"I r-really miss you, you dick."

"Luke, I'm sorry.

"I don't believe you. You don't understand Ash. You'll never understands how it feels to have the one person you trust rip your happiness right from under you."

"You should get some sleep, Luke."

"Of course I should, you really just wanna get rid of me right? Well good job."

And the phone went silent, Ashton stared at the ceiling.

Tossing to see Catherine lay next to him, sleeping.

And in that moment he knew, he knew he had lost one of the most precious things to him.
