At the Gomez's house, Esme burst into the living room, beaming with joy.
"Mom, Mom, Marga!" she exclaimed.
Anne's curiosity was piqued, and she smiled, seeing Esme's enthusiasm. Marga entered, covered in flour, and teased, "What's all the fuss about? Did you get invited to a free lunch? That's the only thing that puts a smile on your face!"
Esme playfully threw a pillow at Marga. "That's not true! Guess what... I received an email - I've been hired as as an a Substitute accounting assistant at H&H Empire in LA, one of the biggest counties!"
Anne's hands flew to her mouth. "That's amazing news! I'm so happy for you!" She grasped Esme's hand, her eyes shining with tears. "Finally, after all those struggles, you've landed a great job."
Marga embraced Esme. "Congratulations, big sis! We must celebrate!"
As they hugged, Esme noticed the flour on Marga's clothes. "What's with the flour?"
Marga blushed. "I'm experimenting with a new recipe."
Esme sighed, knowing what that meant. "Let me guess - you've made a mess in the kitchen?"
Marga sheepishly admitted, "Kind of..."
Anne suggested, "Esme, help your sister clean up the kitchen."
Esme nudged Marga. "Yeah, let's go."
Marga grinned. "Thanks for volunteering, sis."
Esme playfully rolled her eyes. "I didn't volunteer!"
