After 15 minutes

By now I was hiccuping by so much of crying but maa was continuously patting my back. I forced myself to stop crying and pulled out of the hug. Maa cupped my cheeks and said that everything will be alright and I don't have to worry about anything. Just then another thunder striked. Maa told me that for now let's take these woods inside the house and then we will talk about this and politely asked me to stop crying.

I bit my lips and stopped myself from crying any further. Then I picked up two bundles of woods while the bundle of the small branches maa held as I forced her to hold that one and not these heavy ones. And we started walking towards home.

Within 30 minutes we were back home. Avni opened the door and greeted us but in seconds her face had concern probably after seeing my face because I had tear stains near my eyes and maa's face was also slightly pale. She asked maa what happened but maa didn't say anything and told me to follow her and told Avni to go fetch water from the kitchen's pot.

When we reached the backyard, I kept the woods after maa and just then she cupped my face and told me to tell her if anything was bothering me. I tried changing the topic but she took my hand on her head and told me again to tell her everything. This time I had no choice so I told her everything. Starting from seeing his face in the water to his threatenings in the fair's incident. Just when I was telling what he was telling me today in my ears, I heard a loud crash near the entrance of the backyard and saw Avni standing there. She looked like as if she would just cry after hearing my story. I went towards her and asked if she heard everything. She nodded her head and I knew that I dragged her also in this mess.

I looked at maa and saw that she was coming towards us. When she was standing in front of us, she hugged us both and said everything will be alright. We don't have to be afraid and especially don't loose courage and hope in such situations. I completely leaned on maa's shoulder to let my tears fall all over again.

My mumma also comforts me everytime I come to her getting injured or whenever I looked stressed in her eyes. She would just sit beside and talk to me while keeping my head in lap and telling me that everything is fine and that nothing is my fault. And I always felt like having different kind of energy and courage after that. Now also when maa hugged me and comforted me, I remembered mumma and I thought what would she tell me to in this situation. We stayed like that for god knows how much time when someone knocked on our front door.

Avni and I hurriedly pulled back and maa left to open the door. Avni, when maa left, asked me if what happened with me in the fair was when she left to get the clothes and I nodded my head. She then apologised and she regrets leaving me alone. I was quick in saying that it's not at all her fault but his. She then asked me if I am alright and I am right now but I don't know for how much time I will be-just then she kept her hand on my mouth and said not to speak anything like that ever again.

What nice people. Where someone wants to ruin me and keep me with him as a possession, there are also people like her who want to protect me and even forbidding me to speak ill about myself.

I nodded my head and she removed her hand. We then heard some laughing sounds coming from the main area so we went to check and saw that along with maa there were one lady and one boy. The lady looked like she was the same age as maa while the boy was the same age as mine. Maa when saw us, she nervously smiled and said that if she wants to talk then they can talk inside and the boy whose name is Kundan can be with us. The lady agreed and they went inside while Kundan came towards us and said,"Namaste."(Hello)

This boy could not be called handsome but cute. His brown silky hair, chocolate brown eyes, his cute round nose, his mole above his upper lips, and shyness when talking to us looked so fricking cute. Man if he was in my time, I would have made him, my boyfriend but I don't have such great luck.

I replied as,"Namaste, aap kaise hai?"(Hello, how are you?) he replied that he is fine and that he would like us to be friends. I agreed and just then,"main bhi hoon yahan, mujhse bhi to baat karo."(I am also here, talk to me also.) Avni said and we all started laughing, honestly now I feel like I am back to myself just because of them.

We took him to the dinning area and sat there on the ground while having a 'not so serious' conversation, telling him about us and him telling about himself. At first he was very much shy as he was shuttering even while telling us about his favourite food but after talking for about 20 minutes continuously, now he was not that much shy and was talking to us as if this whole world's topics are with him only. And that thought alone made me smile.

After some time, maa and that lady came towards us and said that it's time for them to go. Avni, Kundan and showed them our fake crying expression and that lady pulled Vasuki's ears saying that she knows his tatics and now it will not work on her, we both started laughing but one glare from maa and we stopped but were still giggling when aunty took Kundan while he was constantly apologising to her when looked at us, he waved his hand saying goodbye. We both also waved our hands and went to close the door.

After they left, Avni and I went to our room while maa went to prepare dinner.

When we were in our room talking, we heard loud noises coming from outside and my heart started pounding. No, not again.
