Chapter 28

I hugged him. After few moments, he also hugged me and buried his face in my neck. It tickled me a lot but I kept it in my control. Just then I realised what I did and I suddenly pulled away and suprisingly he let me go, too.

I was looking down again and asked him that now if I can go home and he agreed. I turned back and started to walk but then in a moment, he again grabbed my wrist tightly but not as much like last time when my wrist pained for almost 2 days after he grabbed it tightly.

I looked at his eyes and with my eyes only, I asked him 'now what?'. He chuckled faintly seeing my expression and said,"Why do you have to walk all the way? I will drop you."

🌸 "No thank you. I have legs and I know how to walk so I can on my own."

🔥 "I know darling, there's nothing in the world which you can't do in order to keep yourself at a distance from me but let me tell you (leaning towards her right ear and wishpering) just like you, there's nothing in this world which I can't do in order to keep you with me. (smiled faintly)

🌸 "Will you ever change? Just 2 minutes ago you were almost a human and now you're again back to your own self."

🔥 "I have both the sides. And I planned to use the earlier personality of mine with you, which is your monopoly but you always force me to use this personality of mine to use in front of you."

🌸 "Whatever. Now may I go?"

🔥 "I will drop you."

🌸 "On a horse?"

🔥 "No."

🌸 "Then?"

🔥 "I'll walk with you."

🌸 "What? What if someone saw us?"

🔥 "Then he will die."

🌸 "You know what? You're bad."

🔥 "Tell me something I don't know."

🌸 "Like what? You look handsome tonight?" Oops....(kept her free hand on her mouth while her cheeks where tomato red)"

🔥 "Thank you for the compliment, my love but not as beautiful as you. You look divine like always."

🌸 "Just stop! Now, if you do want to drop me at my home then come. I will permit you as today is your birthday but then onwards, you will not show yourself in front of me ever again, got it?"

🔥 "You're quite bold to say that but I love you for your boldness. Anyways, it's unfortunate that your wish is not acceptable."

🌸 "You-(he puts a palm on her mouth)"

🔥 "As much as I would love to hear your voice, for now be quite. There's a wild animal nearby. So (removes his hand but puts a finger on her lips) be quite, hmm?"

🌸 (Nodding)

Wait, a wild animal, that's why I never wondered near the forest even if it was daytime. Now it's night and every predatory animal must be searching for a prey.

I love animals in this village but I have never seen a wild animal before and even now I don't wish to be the dinner of a lion or tiger or whatever carnivorous animal, there is nearby.

Henry pulled me to his chest and by making the sign of putting his finger on his lips, he told me to be quiet. Well, I was not in the mood of screaming as it is, so he didn't had to repeat his words.

I kept my hands on his biceps and was just looking at the direction of the forest where he was looking towards.

After 2 seconds, I could hear footsteps and a low growl. It seemed like a leopard or maybe a tiger. In reflex, I tightly squeezed his biceps because I was very much scared right now. He didn't seem to mind it though and simply just looked at me. Just then, a cold breeze passed by and because he took my shawl off, I was shaking.

In a second, he took off his expensive looking carbon black coat and put it over me. His charcoal black shirt was revealed by this action. I thought won't he be feeling cold then why do this? He again pulled me towards his chest. Ok no, maybe I shouldn't have cared as he is getting heat from my body.

Just then a loud growl was heard and I was just about to scream when he again kept his hand on my mouth while looking in the direction from where the growl came from. After few moments, he removed his hand and I muttered a low sorry.

After staying like that for 3 minutes, he suddenly lifted me up in the bridal style and started walking in the opposite direction of the lake.

This lake was covered by, one side by the garden, one side by the temple and other two sides by the wild forests.

I looked at the view behind his back and I swear, I saw the bushes rustling, even in this dark night.

He entered from that forest's entrance to the garden area and made me stand by politely dropping me.

I asked him now what and he again told me to be quiet. This man, I can kill him right now, no one will see. Wait, what are you thinking, Inaaya. There is a predatory animal roaming around and here I have a ruthless predator himself in front of whom, every other predator seems like a 2.0.

Just then, I remembered, my shawl. I left it there. Now I can't even go back and take it. I have to do something. But I can't do anything at this moment when I have two predators near me.

God save me, I don't want to die. And if you're doing that then please also send me back. As much as enjoyed living here, I want to go back. Please.

Just then, Henry took my hand and started running. His pace so fast that I almost felt like falling everytime and probably for that, he slowed down his steps. I was trying to match his pace while running when a loud growl was heard again. And from the bushes beside me, there jumped out a tiger, showing his long and sharp, nails and teeth. Seeing that, I closed my eyes.

I am done. I am going to die as he aimed for me. I love you mom, dad and everyone who cared for me. Sorry I couldn't live the way I wanted to but I didn't want it to end like this.

I opened my eyes and saw that the tiger was now just inches apart while his claws in the air, coming towards my face.
