real life !

Nico Saint sat in her bedroom, watching love island on her tv. it was now tuesday, two days after the tourney in lancaster

she had gotten her braces off yesterday, now switched over to invisalign. nico was happier than ever with her decision

nico felt like braces didnt suit her, so when her ortho told her about the possibility for invisalign, nico agreed immediately.

the girl was more than happy to be home, having not seen her family, or her puppy in what felt like forever.

pascal got a lot bigger, though he was still small, and her niece polly was getting bigger by the day.

lucas and nico were still awkward, it wasnt so bad when nico was in lancaster and they would simply text, but now that they were a couple rooms away from each other, it was back to awkward.

nico hadnt seen nelson since sunday when they flew back to texas together, both going their seperate ways when they were picked up

it was safe to say, nico missed nelson extremely, she was debating inviting him over to hangout just so she could see him again

while she was distracted by her thoughts there was a ring on the doorbell downstairs.

since lucas was closest to the door- from being in the living room -he opened it, being met with nelson holding daffodils

lucas immediately scowled, going into scary, mean, overprotective brother mode. "what are you doing here ?" he asked bitterly

nelson gulped, his eyes wide with fear. "i, um, came to talk to nico... if thats okay" nelson stuttered, trying to sound calm yet failing miserably

"why so you can leave her at a party alone again" lucas sarcastically asked, raising his eyebrows while awaiting an answer

the curly head sighed, "look man, i know that makes me look really bad, but i was just so angry and then i turned around immediately and went to get her but you had already picked her up" nelson tried to explain to him

lucas didnt falter, not caring about nelsons sob story. "shouldnt have left her in the first place."

nelson nodded, accepting defeat. "yeah, i know. you know what, nevermind i dont need to talk to her" he went to turn around

that was until dani came jogging to the door, "nelson, wait !" she called out to him

the young boy turned around, suprised by the female voice. "yeah ?" he questioned

"you can talk to nico, come in." dani allowed, pushing lucas and herself out of the way so nelson had room to come in the doorway

nelson sent her a soft smile, "thank you, dani" he sincerely spoke, once he was inside the house, he ran up to nicos room

lucas sent dani a 'what the hell was that ?' look, "what the hell was that ?!" he scolded, extremely confused on why dani went against him like that

dani sighed, knowing this was now going to be an argument. "he wanted to see her." dani told him shortly

"so ?! he fucking left her at a party alone full of adults." lucas raised his voice, losing his temper almost immediately

his girlfriend on the other hand, kept her cool. "he's fifteen, let him make mistakes. it was also nikkis house, nikki doesnt hangout with those kinds of people" dani reasoned

lucas dragged his hands down his face in frustration, upset at the fact that not only was his girlfriend going against him, she was making good points

"dani, you dont understand. he assumed my sister cheating on him and left her at a party with twenty year olds !!" he screamed

danielle huffed, starting to get annoyed. "first of all, stop fucking yelling at me. i dont know who you think you're yelling at." she began

"and second of all, they were together for an entire weekend im pretty sure they talked in that time." dani finished, raising her eyebrows at her boyfriend, waiting for retaliation

lucas sighed, taking a deep breath to calm down. "im sorry, dani. im just worried about nico, you saw how she was last week" lucas took a seat on the couch

dani rubbed his shoulders from behind him, "i know, baby. but shes fifteen now, she can stick up for herself." dani reminded him

meanwhile upstairs, nelson knocked on her bedroom door. from the inside nico assumed it was her brother, "come in !" she called

nelson held up the flowers, poking his head in. "hey, ma" he smiled at the sight of her, walking through the door fully

nico was surprised to see him, but wasn't angry about it. "nelson, hey ! what are you doing here ?" she asked, noticing the flowers

"i came to talk to you" he explained, sitting on the edge of her bed. "if you'll let me" nelson held out the flowers

nelson had specifically gotten daffodils because he remembered nico telling him they were her favorite

nico couldnt help smiling at the boy, "thank you, nels." she flashed her now braceless teeth at him, accepting the flowers and scooching over to sit next to him

nelsons jaw dropped, noticing her teeth instantly. "you got your braces off ?!" he exclaimed in shock

nico giggled at his reaction, "i got invisalign" she explained, enjoying how positive his reaction was

"its looks actually incredible" nelson complimented, his voice full of sincerity as he stared at her in awe

the two fell into a silence, caught in each others eyes, not wanting to look away and ruin the moment they were sharing.

after a minute or two nelson broke the silence, "i want to be your boyfriend again, officially. this time without you has been torture and was entirely my fault. i miss you so much, please take me back"

nico blinked silently, extremely caught off guard at his sudden confession, but nonetheless happy to hear those words come out of his mouth

"you mean that ?" nico raised her eyebrows, asking just to be sure, though she knew nelson was more than serious.

nelson nodded almost immediately, "100%" he told her truthfully, looking into her eyes to see how she felt about his words

a large smile covered nicos face, "ugh, im so happy you said that." nico threw her arms over nelsons shoulders, pulling him into a bone crushing hug

nelson melted into the hug, his arms slithering around her waist, his eyes fluttering shut in pure comfort

once they pulled away, nico kept them close to where their noses were touching. "i would love for you to be my boyfriend again" she muttered

after those words, nelson wasted no time in connecting his lips to nicos, feeling the same fireworks in his stomach like he always had

"gosh, ive missed you" nelson mumbled against his girlfriends lips. it felt so good to call her his girlfriend again.
