Short chapter y'all...
~HUNTERS OF ARTEMIS DAILY~ The Aphrodite Cabin has been busy! Several demigods have been seen getting cozy together, such as the affair between Victor Shawn and Thalia Grace yesterday. Then the apparently lovesick demigods claimed they didn't love each other, and had the behaviour to prove it! (The pretend couples are Clovis (Hypnos Cabin) and Taylor (Apollo Cabin), Hannah (Thanatos Cabin) and Florian (Hephaestus Cabin), and others.)
"Apollo, you're saying a child of yours also had a secret relationship?" Artemis frowned. "Seems convenient, but at least she didn't betray you." Her face turned sad.
"My lady," I put a hand on the goddesses shoulder, "these two affairs may be connected."
"How?" Artemis turned her sad expression to me. "The affair was clear."
I didn't know.
"Well, well, Artemis, maiden goddess. Talking about affairs, are we? I hope you didn't forget how you got hurt by Orion and...others." Aphrodite waltzed in. Her hair flashed blonde, black, blonde, black. My preference and Apollo's, I guessed. I didn't want to, but I told her the whole story. Even though she was Aphrodite, she was still a goddess of love. And Artemis didn't stop me.
"Hmm..." Aphrodite pursed her lips, but her eyes were twinkling mischievously. "Perhaps the girl was...manipulated. I have witnessed something like that in the camp."
"Wait," I made a time-out gesture. "Are you saying that Thalia didn't mean to do..." I grimaced. "You know."
Aphrodite winked. "I said nothing. Good luck," She called over her shoulder, strolling back out of sight.
