***Dwarfs' Mine - Interior***C.C. POV "Begone! Begone! Begooone!" The monster demands. "Bwaaah!" Deuce screams. "Aw, crap! He's got Loosey-Deucey on the ropes! Not on my watch! Heeyah!" Ace says. The monster growls. "Ooof!" Ace says. "Myaaah! Stay away from me!" Grim exclaims, the monster just growls in response. "It's like nothin's even hurtin' it!" Grim says. "Did you just see that sparkle?!" Bubba asks.
"Behind the monster! There's something sparkling in the mineshaft!" Ace states. "Could that have been a magestone?!" Deuce exclaims. "GWAAAAAAAH! Nooo giiive yooouuu stooooooone!" the monster grumbles. "Yuu, we need to book it, and fast! That thing's gonna pound us into tuna paste!" Grim exclaims in fear. "Retreat! Retreat!" Bubba orders as the monster growls.
***Dwarfs' Mine - Silent Woods*** "This should be far enough, I think?" Grim says. "Owww...What was that thing? No one said there'd be anything like that!" Ace complains. "That was no normal ghost, that's for sure." Deuce says. "Let's just give up and go home. I'll happily take the expulsion if it means never having to fight that thing again." Ace says pessimistically. "What?! Nuh-uh, not happenin'! I'd rather die than get expelled from Night Raven! How can you give up when the stone is right there?" Deuce counters.
"Pfft. Big talk from someone who's not even half the mage I am. You want that stone so bad, go get it yourself. I'm out." Ace says. "Oh YEAH?! Fine, go back to your coop, you big chicken!" Deuce mocks. "Whaaaaat?! Who're you callin' chicken, huh?!" Ace says defensively. "Whoa, Deuce... Is it just me, or did you, like, turn into a totally different person just now?" Grim says in awe. "Huh?! *Cough* *Cough* Sorry... Lost my cool for a second there." Deuce says apologetically.
"Can't you do something with your magic?" Bubba asks. "The headmage said it himself... magic has limits. If you can't strongly visualize your magic, it isn't going to happen. Using magic at a greater scale, or using different types of magic - those things require training." Deuce explains. "Yeah, that's why magic academies exist. It takes a lot of training before you can snap your fingers and turn your thoughts into magic. And the more flustered you are, the more likely you are to make mistakes." Ace explains.
"Oh, I'd assumed spellcasting just came naturally." Bubba states. "Nope, although if the magic's your specialty, you can use it more intuitively." Ace explains. "Anyway, we need to find some way to defeat that creature and get the magestone." Deuce says. "Yeaaaaah. Just like the time with the chandelier, right? You "found some way," and now here we are. We just fought that thing and it creamed us. So what exactly is your plan here, genius? Because I sure don't trust you to improvise!" Ace says.
"What?! You're the one who-" Deuce starts. "Aaand they're at it again." Grim sighs. "Would the two of you knock it off already?!" Bubba exclaims in annoyance. Ace and Deuce gasp at Bubba's sudden intervention. "Whoa, that was loud. Where'd that come from?" Grim asks. "Why not try cooperating a little?" Bubba asks. "With Loosey-Deucey? No way. He'd get me killed!" Ace exclaims.
"Like it'd be some treat for me to work with you?!" Deuce counters. "What if we came up with a proper plan first?" Bubba asks. "A proper plan? Like some kinda buddy move? Is that a joke? You always say the lamest things with the straightest face, Yuu." Ace says. "Agreed. No way could I work together with him." Deuce says. "Yeah, but... Gettin' expelled on the first day... That's pretty lame too. Maybe even lamer." Grim counters. "W-well..." Ace starts while Deuce just stays silent.
"I did have one idea..." Bubba starts. "Gah... Fine. Let's just get this over with, then. All right, Yuu. What's the plan?" Ace says. 'Ace and Deuce remind me of a married couple, I have the feeling me and Bubba are gonna end up third wheeling, dang'
***Dwarfs' Mine - Mine Entrance*** "Yuu... Is this plan of yours really gonna work? I'm sca- I mean, I'm a little... uh, hungry." Grim says hesitantly. "Don't worry! I think this could really work!" Bubba says optimistically. "It really could. Let's go, Yuu!" Deuce says.
***Interesting Facts***-C.C. officially sees Ace and Deuce as a married couple-C.C. was watching the interactions on the side lines with Nightmare Fredbear-C.C. jumped a little when Yuu got strict-C.C. got hurt and is letting himself walk around in a dirty cave with open wounds
