I hated waiting. I didn't want to be here so I wanted this over as fast as possible. The smell of the mutts was starting to get to me. Edward approached Emmett and I clearly wanted to talk. "If you say you are sorry... I will burn you to ashes!" I hissed as I took Jace away from Emmett. Emmett flexed his muscles. Ready for a fight if needed.
"I am not! But I am asking for you both to just hear her out!" He said and I laughed at him. He looked at me and sighed. "I was hoping you and I could talk as well!" He said and I scoffed this time. But Bella walked over, making Emmett hiss at her. She stood behind Edward but looked around him.
"Please just give me a chance! You both need to know why!" She said just above a whisper. I rolled my eyes and turned to walk away. "You owe me this!" She whispered and I scoffed as did Emmett.
"Keep your blood slut away from the rest of us!" I heard Emmett hiss before he followed me. We moved as far away from them as we could since we were also asked to stay.
"You really hate her?" I heard a voice ask, making me turn to see Paul standing behind me with the rest of the pack.
"Yes!" I hissed and he nodded his head at me. I wonder why he was even talking to me.
"So does my imprint. I guess I never paid much attention to her when she was around as she wasn't messing with my head." He said and I was confused as to why he was concerned about Bella's actions now. He noticed. "My imprint is Jake's sister. She has done a lot of damage to him. Which makes my imprint hate her. Almost as much as you!" He said and I nodded my head at him.
"She isn't a good person! Your imprint is right to not like or trust her." I said and he agreed with me.
"Ain't the truth!" he said as the rest of the pack walked in and over to Sam and Jacob, "Guess I should!" He said as he pointed to the pack. I nodded my head at him.
"We are all here! So what is it you need to tell us?" Sam said as he crossed her arms ready for what Carlisle had to say.
"I am sure Bella told you or at least Jacob about the kings of our kind..." Carlisle said and they all nodded their heads at him. "But did she tell you what they all can do?" He asked and they were all confused. "Guess not!" he said with a sigh as he turned to glare at Bella and Edward. They both looked down at the ground. "The Volturi are the oldest of our kind! All of them have a special gift in one way or another." He said as one of the younger ones looked confused.
"Gifts?" He asked as he looked over at Paul.
"Mind reading, visions, fire walls! Shit like that!" He said with a chuckle as he looked at me. I winked at the young one who looked scared shitless. I heard Emmett chuckle as well as Ian and Jasper.
"Yes and no! Some are ones that should be feared more than a wall of fire." He said as he grew more serious now. "Demetri is the world's best tracker. It doesn't matter where you go as he will find you. And you will be killed! Jane's gift is to cause pain. So much pain that you wouldn't notice someone behind you about to kill you. Felix is super strong. Just like Emmett. It would take all of you to kill him and you would still lose. Alec is the worst of them all as he takes the pain away. Leaving nothing as you are killed. Those are just the guards. They work together as one. They are the strongest in the guard." He said as another young one looked up.
"If they are the guard... What can the kings do?" He asked and I sighed. I didn't fear the kings. But I knew that they controlled the guard like their own puppets.
"Aro can read minds. If he touches you. But it is not like Edward, where he can only know what you are thinking. He can dive deep into all your memories and find everyone you love, everyone you have ever cared about. He will know every one of your secrets. Caius... He is the clever one of them. Not truly gifted but he can spin a tale making you believe that you are in the wrong so you will confess to a crime you didn't commit. Thus making it easier to kill you. Marcus... he sees relationships." He said and this made the pack go on edge. "Yes! What you are thinking is what he can do!" Carlisle said as he put his hands behind his back. "Take myself and my family." He said as he pointed to Esme. "A gold cord would connect us as we are mates. A blue cord would connect everyone else to me. Blue means that they are loyal to me. Part of my coven or Family as we are!" He said as we all just listened to him.
"So he would be about to sense our imprints?" Sam asked, Carlisle nodded his head.
"In a way! He would see the cord that binds you to each other. But he would not know who they are. But he would see that you are all connected to each other. If you are all loyal to your alpha." He said as he looked over at Jacob. Jacob shifted where he stood.
"Would he be able to..." I started to ask but stopped. I didn't want to upset the wolves but I knew this was something we all needed to know. "Would he be able to follow that cord if the wolf was killed?" I asked hoping he wouldn't be able to. Carlisle turned to me and sighed.
"I don't know! I have never seen it happen. But his powers are kept close to him. Only himself and Aro know the full extent of his powers." He said and I frowned. "I am telling you this. So you know what you are about to go up against. These vampires are not like the newborns you all have faced. " He said as he turned back to the pack. "Now for the reason I wanted all of you here!" He said as he took a step closer to Sam and handed him a package.
"What is this?" Sam asked as he took it. Still questioning if he wanted to open it.
"That is the real reason they are coming for the pack." Carlisle said, making me move closer. Bella gasped, making us all turn to her.
"What did you do?" I asked as I glared at her. She just shook her head at me.
"Nothing I swear!" She said but the look in her eyes as she stared at the package said otherwise.
"Bella, they will learn one way or another. Whether they open that. Because I am going to tell them just what is in there." He said and I wanted to know what was in there. I wanted to see it for myself. I held my hand out to Sam and he slowly handed over the package. I handed Jace over to Esme. As I knew I would lose my temper soon.
"If this is what I think it is... I will stand with the pack and help them protect their people." I said as I ripped it open. Inside were letters from Bella to Aro. Asking for more time or to be turned by them in exchange for what she knew about our family and the pack. "You fucking bitch!" I yelled as I went to lang for her. Emmett and Paul grabbed me. "Let me go!" I screamed as I tried my hardest to get them off of me. "Let me kill her!" I yelled as I still tried to get to her.
"They are coming for you and that bastard of yours! I will tell them everything they need to know to get what I want!" She screamed as she backed away from me.
"I am going to enjoy killing you!" I hissed as Paul and Emmett let me go. She looked at them shocked before she tried to run. I laughed as she really thought she could outrun me. I was in front of her in the blink of an eye. "You don't learn now do you?" I asked as she screamed and backed away from me. "You should have listened the first time we told you you weren't wanted around!" I hissed as I grabbed her.
"NO!" Carlisle yelled as he walked up to me. "I won't let you become a killer." He said as he took hold of Bella. "We will be handing her over!" He said and I frowned at him.
