The next day was probably more nerve-wracking than the day before.

For one I was kind of scared that another giant creature would break down the camp fence and attack us.The whole day we kept hearing a bunch of strange noises coming from the forest.Mabel assured us it was nothing, but everyone knew something was wrong.Dipper didn't leave the main cabin all day and our trip to go see where the gnomes live was postponed due to "minor security risks". To top it all off, almost everyone woke up with bug bites that spelled out random letters.Mine was something like ,bewar bheh sape in stun.Ruby had, hever nhake thuh sand, spelled out on her leg.It was probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Since we weren't going to really do anything all day Mabel took this as an opportunity to teach everyone how to knit. And while we didn't have many other plans for stuff to do,everyone was overall pretty bored as Mabel handed us knitting needles and yarn and began to instruct us.

"Stick your needle in the loop and put the yarn over, then twist it downward like this,"she demonstrated,"and pull the loop off.Keep doing that until you don't have any little loops left. Then switch it to the other side and keep doing the same thing until it's the length that you want it.Once you've done that I'll show you how to finish it."

A few hours the only person who really had a scarf going was Ruby and this other girl. The rest of us had about 2 rows done.

After we played a bunch of games with cards like war and had a mini tournament.

I was literally the first person to lose.

The rest of the day was mostly filled with a bunch of little games and stuff like that led by Mabel.I wouldn't say I didn't have any amount of fun,but I was looking forward to seeing where the gnomes lived. On the other hand I wasn't sure I wanted to leave the camp.

After a while we got some free time to do pretty much anything we wanted.I was peeling stickers off of cabin 9 while Ruby ran around with her bag of foam stickers,I don't know where she gets so many stickers.

I was just about done when I felt something brush against my leg.I looked down to find a pig wearing a red sweater,"Uh..."

Not going to lie,I was kind of scared of pigs after my cousin told me a story about how he got attacked by a wild one,one time. This one looked incredibly friendly however, and it was kind of cute.I stared at it for a good minute before extending my hand out to it.It did not bite my hand off so I took that to mean that it was probably okay to pet.

"You're a cute little pig,"I said giving it a little pat on the head,"Wonder where you came from?"

"Oh that's Waddles" Mabel suddenly says from behind me. I got kind of startled but quickly calmed down. "Waddles is very old, I've had him since I was your age!" Mabel says slowly patting Waddles head. I got reminded of Cornelius, was he gonna live that long too? I didn't know much about corn snakes but I'm sure they couldn't live that long...right? I looked at Waddles and realized it did indeed look very old.

"Oh wow,"I said,"pigs live very long then?"

Mabel nodded,"Yeah waddles is 16 years old now, they can live up to 20 years old."she smiled, seemingly happy to be able to talk about Waddles to.She somehow was able to pick up Waddles and then Mabel headed back towards the main cabin.

"Hey Lloyd!"Ruby said,running up to me,"I've made a new friend!She's over there,"Ruby said,pointing to a girl with dark hair and a long braid,surrounded by 2 or 3 people.

"Her name is Phoebe and she's super nice and she's got a sixth finger-"

"A SIXTH FINGER!"I exclaimed

"Yeah,"

"Like a whole actual finger?"

"On both hands,"Ruby confirmed

"Wow,"I said,"That's really cool."I thought about this for a moment,"she must have a lot of friends, huh?"I gestured to the people around her.

"No Lloyd,"Ruby saddened,"I think-I think they're teasing her."

"Teasing her?For what?"

"Because of her extra finger."

"Oh,"

I didn't even know this kid,but the thought of her getting teased for something that was actually pretty cool made me kind of mad.

The next thing I knew Ruby and I were telling the 3 kids to knock it off and leave Phoebe alone.

"Why though?"one of them said,"People like her shouldn't even exist.6 fingers, not 5 like the rest of us."

"So?"I said

"That's not normal."Another said

"Oh shut up,"Ruby said,"You probably eat your cereal with water out of a plastic bag with a straw! And you-"

I gave Ruby a little nudge to remind her that as much as they were being real jerks,we didn't need to go there.I'd heard her use this roast time and time again and it was not a pretty one.

She frowned but actually listened this time.

"Just leave her be,alright?"I said,"Don't bother her-"

"Hey, can you guys-What's going on here?"It was Dipper,he had finally left the cabin

"Nothing,"one of the kids said

He didn't look very convinced but he didn't say anything else about it,"Can you guys please go to the benches? The whole camp is going gather up there."

Ruby and I headed to the benches like Dipper said. I thought Phoebe was going to come but I turned around and saw that Dipper was talking to her.So I followed Ruby to the benches.
