Cent. Calendar, February 14, 1638

Outside the Civilized Sphere, West of the Muish Continent, Eastern Japanese Imperial waters, Kido buttai. (mobile force)

The cold bite of the February air clung stubbornly, mingling with the salty tang of the sea as dawn's first blushes stretched across the vast, unbroken sky. The waves rolled heavily under the hulls of the Imperial Japanese Navy's fleet, a steel procession cutting through the Eastern Japanese waters with deadly purpose. The largest among them, the IJN Amagi, surged forward like a leviathan rising from the depths—a supercarrier spanning nearly a thousand feet, each inch radiating the aura of authority and menace. Her deck was lined with sleek, meticulously arranged aircraft, their sharp noses pointed eastward, toward an island, where the country that insulted their pride killed the foreign affairs minister and detained the diplomats is located. Japan will never accept such barbarism, and now paganda will pay dearly for spilling Japanese blood.

Amagi was flanked on either side by her formidable companions, Shokaku, Zuikaku, and Taiho-carriers bearing Japan's finest. The four flat-decked ships moved in disciplined formation, their decks glistening in the dim, fragile light of dawn, where clouds blushed pink and violet. Their armored hulls cut through the dark waters, signaling a rare unity of technology, strategy, and sheer might. Behind them, a host of destroyers, cruisers, and the battle-hardened battleship Nagato formed an iron phalanx. Each ship carried a unique purpose, from anti-aircraft defenses to long-range artillery, creating a near-impenetrable wall around the carriers.

Standing tall on Nagato's bridge was Vice Admiral Kushima. His hands gripped the cold metal rail, and his binoculars pressed firmly against his eyes as he observed the horizon, tense and watchful. Every creak of the ship, every distant call from the lower decks seemed magnified in the pre-dawn stillness, as if the fleet itself was holding its breath, waiting for his command. A chill, more potent than the morning breeze, ran down Kushima's spine-a mixture of anticipation and the weight of the mission before them.

At precisely 5:10 AM, an officer's voice rang out in the cramped war room below deck. "Commander! The operation is a go!" His words echoed through the metal walls, carrying with them an electric energy that set the room alight. The officer's eyes burned with pride and intensity as he saluted Kushima, who acknowledged it with a sharp nod, his gaze steady.

In that moment, Kushima's voice, deep and commanding, sliced through the tense air, carrying the authority of Japan's lust for revenge: "Commence Operation Sheigi no Ken!"

The words rippled through the fleet as the order passed swiftly from ship to ship. Loudspeakers buzzed to life aboard the carriers, booming the command that sent the deck crews into immediate action. On the Amagi's deck, a well-choreographed ballet erupted, deck crew members-each wearing brightly colored shirts indicating their specialized roles-rushed to their stations, working with a precision honed through countless drills. They moved between aircraft, directing the powerful A6M Zero-kai fighters into place while mechanics checked engines, adjusted flaps, and prepped the final rounds of munitions.

The A6M Zeroes, new and improved from their predecessors of the Asian Cold War and Second World War, gleamed under the warming sky. Their dark green fuselages caught glints of light as their engines roared to life, blades spinning in a steady, intimidating hum. These fighters were faster and more heavily armored, with sophisticated radar systems embedded in their frames, allowing them to track and target from distances their ancestors couldn't have dreamed of.
