Annie let out a groan as she tried to get away from that titan. She watched in horror as that thing swallowed her left leg. She couldn't run or get away. She was trapped, and for a moment, she wondered if it would have been better to let them torture her.
She closed her eyes when she saw that thing approaching her.
She expected something: pain, a limb being torn off... something. But she could only feel the titan's foul breath.
With some hesitation, she opened her eyes. She had to blink a few times to understand what was happening.
The titan had its jaw open but couldn't move; something was stopping it. Upon closer inspection, she noticed something black was holding its legs.
They had no shape, they were just like... ropes?
She couldn't describe it very well.
Her thoughts were interrupted when those black things pulled the titan away from her. Her attention shifted from the titan that was trying in vain to get closer to her to something emerging from the darkness of the trees.
It was that titan that seemed to be made of a starry sky... was it controlling those black things?
Suddenly, everything made sense. The reason why she hadn't noticed it when she was fighting Eren.
It had kidnapped her from a distance. It didn't even have to come close.
Annie shifted uncomfortably in her position, feeling so vulnerable. The titan crouched down gently as it extended its hand to lift her up.
Annie didn't fight this time. She just closed her eyes and pretended not to hear when the titan holding her made the head of the titan that tried to eat her explode.
She accepted her defeat for the moment. Just this once.

Of course, if Annie's face told you anything. You sighed as you examined her gently. She didn't have a leg.
Annie didn't have a leg.
She didn't have it.
I repeat: she didn't have it.
You almost groaned in frustration.
If she was going to keep running away and getting a limb eaten every time it regenerated, it was going to be a torment.
Your new torment: Annie Leonhart.
Welcome to: mentally struggling against characters that should be fictional.
You could already hear the sad jazz music playing in the background while the announcer talked cheerfully about how you fight against a fictional character and yet you're still losing.
Ugh...
If you could speak her language, you would be scolding her for being so reckless...
But of course, good script, the help of a divine being, and good fortune are three things you don't have.
If you had a pillow, you would bury your pretty face in it to scream.
Fine.
That doesn't matter, at least not now.
You drew your mental line of the upcoming events.
You sighed mentally. Now you had to go find Mike and save him before the titans eat him...
