boyfriend material

the rest of the week goes by pretty quickly, and it's full of fun times. mike, beverly, and ben find out about richie and eds, and they all play at the quarry or run around in the long grass. they also go bike riding around the neighbourhood, singing songs and laughing. eddie sits on a rock by the rail way, staring into the distance. he hears soft footsteps behind him, and turns around. there in front of him is richie, his boyfriend. he gets up and runs to him, throwing his arms around his neck and kissing him. "i missed you too" richie cheers. they sit on the rock together, with each other's arm around the others shoulders. "i've done some thinking, and, i think i'm just plain out gay. girls are alright, but boys are so much better" eddie marvels. "haha. nice, i'm so happy for you" richie says, kissing him on the cheek. "shit!" they hear a whisper behind them and stan and bill are tripping and falling into the grass. richie and eddie hide behind the rock, out of sight. they peek around the sides of the rock, watching the two roll around in the grass laughing. eddie looks at richie and whispers "omg. they have to be gay". "mhmm" he agrees. they look back at stan and billy and the next thing they know is that they're kissing, kissing! both of they're eyes go wide and they're jaws drop open. richie looks around and finds a small rock to throw at them. he tosses it in their direction and it lands on stanley's head. "ow! what was that?" they hear stan say. "i don't know, but i don't care" bill replies. "b-" stan starts but gets cut off by bill grabbing his face and pulling him back in for another kiss. richie and eddie giggle. "hey queers!" richie calls out. stan and bill look around until both their eyes land on richie. eddie pops up from behind the rock and bill and stanley start towards them. "were you two there th-that whole t-time?" bill asks. "yep" eddie replies, a smile spreading across his face from ear to ear. "yeah, um, so yeah, we're gay..." stan explains. "i really don't think you are. you guys are very much straight." richie says sarcastically. they all giggle and laugh. "..so be it" eddie says. "what?" bill asks. "we're all gay, so be it!" he replies. they erupt in giggles "so be it!" they all yell, and richie kissed eddie while bill kisses stanley. so be it.
