"No I totally get it, he was a really hot fish,"

That was the first thing Nishinoya heard as he awoke from his deep slumber, his body feeling like it'd been dissolved in acid.

"Hold on, the guy from last nights waking up,"
You hung up and stashed your phone away, approaching the stranger.

"Hey there, you okay?"

Nishinoya's eyes adjusted to the light of the apartment, and scanned the area. And that's when he realized he was in a random person's apartment.

"WHO ARE YOU?! D-DID YOU KIDNAP ME?!"

You immediately rushed to cover his mouth so the whole building wouldn't get concerned, which didn't really end up helping too much with your case.

"I didn't kidnap you! You passed out in my apartment! You can leave whenever you want!"

You released his mouth from your hands, cringing at the sensation of his slobber. Did he really lick you?!

Nishinoya grabbed his belongings and rushed towards the door, but stopped before turning the knob, his head tilting upwards as he took a few careful sniffs.

"What's that smell?"
He asked.

"I was making braised short ribs,"

Noya immediately headed back to your sofa, sitting down with his arms crossed.

"Since you tried to kidnap me, I think it's only natural that you give me food as repayment!"

...

"Get out of my house,"

"PLEASE! IM BEGGING YOU!"
He got down on his knees, making you cringe a little.

"Fine,"
You relented.

"But get off your knees, it's making me feel gross,"

He did as you asked, following you excitedly to the kitchen. Maybe you could've acted a little kinder to him, but at the same time, he was a complete stranger who passed out in your home and had the audacity to call you a kidnapper. And now he was eating for free too!

You plated up the short ribs with some mashed potatoes, using the sauce created from the braised ribs as gravy. Just to be fancy, you placed a small piece of parsley on top.

Nishinoya looked at the food with stars in his eyes, blowing on the food for a second before taking his first bite. If his eyes weren't shining before, they definitely were now.

He scarfed down the food like it was his first meal in a decade, though to be fair, he hadn't eaten for about eighteen hours.

"More please!"
He asked, holding the plate up.

Taking this gesture as a compliment to your cooking, you obliged him, fixing up a plate for yourself as well.

Damn you were a good cook!

You made sure to set aside a sizable amount for some other friends you thought might enjoy it, having a few specific people in mind.

"Phew! What was I yelling at you about again?"
Satisfied, Nishinoya patted his stomach.

"You said I kidnapped you,"

"Oh yeah! Well now I'm pretty sure you didn't kidnap me,"
A grin that seemed to wipe away any bad blood was plastered on his face, making it hard for you to hold on to your annoyance.

"I think you were looking for someone named Asahi?"
Remembering more from the night before, you brought it up.

A lightbulb seemed to go off in his head,
"That's right! My phone ran out of battery so I tried finding his place without a map!"

He pulled his phone out of his pocket, surprised to see it was fully charged.

"Did you-?"

You nodded,
"Yup, charged it. I also cleaned out your case, how do you even get that much dirt in there?!"

"I'm adventurous!"
He defended, still grateful for your service.

You watched as he tapped away at his phone, presumably texting his friends or searching for Asahi's address. After a while, he stood up, and began heading towards the door.

"Thanks for all the food! You should invite me over sometime so I can have more!"

"Man, I don't even know your name,"

That's right! He completely forgot to introduce himself!

"Nishinoya Yuu!"

You sighed,
"I'm (y/n). It was nice meeting you, Nishinoya,"

With a happy nod, he left, finally giving you the alone time you wanted.

~•~

"You should totally meet him, he made this short rib thingy that was super good!"
Nishinoya explained his frightful awakening and the food that accompanied it to Asahi, sparing now detail.

Asahi was in disbelief his friend just stumbled into a strangers house and passed out, and was grateful you hadn't done anything weird to Nishinoya.

At this point though, the former Libero realized that he had no idea how to get back to your apartment, also not having any of your contact information.

"How am I supposed to eat food that good again?!"
He cried in a panic.

Fortunately for him though, his taller friend noticed a piece of paper sticking out of his hair.

Pulling it out, he found a series of numbers written on it, along with a name.

"This is it! Lemme text him,"
Nishinoya said hurriedly.

Asahi was looking forward to meeting you, mainly to apologize for his friend's behavior.
