"Why do you keep looking at your phone?" Jimin lifted his gaze and found Arin watching him.

"Yoongi is late today," he said.

"You know I hate it when people make me wait." Her brown eyes studied him curiously.

"What?" Jimin said, fiddling with his phone.

"What's going on with you and Yoongi lately?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"I don't know...Something has changed." Jimin gave her a pointed look. "Are you finished going through my mail? I don't pay you for twiddling your thumbs." Visibly swallowing whatever snide remark she wanted to make, Arin returned her eyes to the pile of envelopes in front of her.

Jimin looked back at his phone. She was right, though. Something had changed. Yoongi had been... different. He no longer tried to control every aspect of Jimin's recovery— and life. Yoongi left as soon as possible after checking Jimin's groin and giving him instructions for the day. Even his attitude had changed. Yoongi no longer called him "little boy," "baby," or "brat." There were no more wry smirks and jokes.

In fact, his tone was neutral and extremely professional every time he spoke to Jimin. And every time, Jimin wanted to punch him in the mouth. Yoongi's oh-so-correct behavior drove him crazy. It annoyed him far more than Jimin had expected. And it didn't help that he was still horny and frustrated as hell. At least he had stopped feeling mortified when he got an erection while Yoongi massaged him. Because even seeing his erection got absolutely no reaction from Yoongi, not even a quirk of an eyebrow. Yoongi was professional to a T. Looking at Yoongi's behavior in the last ten days, it was hard to believe the spanking incident had ever happened.

Jimin squirmed a little. They hadn't talked about it, so the incident might as well have never happened.

He hadn't told Woo-shik anything. He still wasn't sure why.

"I like Yoongi," Arin said suddenly.

"He's such a nice guy. He invited me to his wedding." Jimin's gaze snapped to her.

"What? You've only known him for a few weeks."

Arin gave him a very sweet smile. "You mean he didn't invite you?" Jimin smiled back. Arin was a bitch. She was fun, but she wasn't in his league when it came to bitchiness.

"I wouldn't have accepted the invitation, anyway," he said with perfect calmness.

"Why would I want to go?" Clearly disappointed, Arin went back to sorting through his mail. Jimin put the phone down before picking it up again. He stared at it for a moment.

"Have you seen his girlfriend?" he said casually. "Doona? Oh yeah, she picked him up the other day when his car had broken down. He introduced us."

"What is she like?" He felt her speculative gaze on him. Keeping his face vaguely bored, Jimin said,

"I'm curious what kind of woman would be stupid enough to marry such a bossy guy. She must be a doormat."

"She isn't," Arin said immediately.

"She's strong and it was obvious to me their relationship is that of equals. He respects her. She seemed practical and open-minded." Jimin looked at his nails.

"Do they claim to be in love?" Arin chuckled. "They're getting married, aren't they? They must be."

"Don't be silly. People get married all the time for many different reasons." Jimin said.

"Like what?"

"Habit," Jimin said. "Family expectations, financial reasons. Insecure people look for the security of marriage. Some people are afraid of being lonely. Some want kids. And so on and so forth. Love isn't necessary at all. Actually, accomplished people don't need to 'love' anyone to feel happy. Love is something people invented to excuse their idiotic behavior and to dress up lust with hearts and flowers."
