Choi Woo-Shik leaned back in his chair and regarded his friend in silence. Yoongi met his eyes steadily.
"So, you haven't changed your mind," Woo-Shik said. "You still want to quit."
"Yes."
"And you still refuse to tell me why," Woo-Shik said coldly.
He wasn't exactly happy with Yoongi right now. Yoongi was the last person he'd expected to be so irresponsible and quit in the middle of his patient's rehabilitation process. And on a purely personal level, it pissed him off that Yoongi didn't trust him enough to share why he wanted to leave. They were good friends. At least, he had considered Yoongi one of his closest friends in Seoul.
"Look," Yoongi said. The conflict on his face was easy to see. "It's...it's personal."
Woo-Shik stared at him. "Personal?"
Running a hand over his face, Yoongi pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I can't keep a professional distance. He gets under my skin." That Woo-Shik could believe.
The world knew Jimin as a likable, easy-going guy, but Woo-Shik had come to realize how erroneous that impression was. Still, he didn't believe that Jimin was the devil's spawn Woon-bin painted him as. Things were rarely black and white, bad guys and good guys.
"I thought you could handle him," Woo-Shik commented, watching Yoongi curiously.
The last time he'd seen Yoongi and Jimin in the same room, Jimin was the one demanding he fire Yoongi, while Yoongi was cool and collected, even amused. What had changed?
"I thought so, too," Yoongi said, a corner of his mouth curling up in a humorless smile. "I'm used to difficult patients, you know that."
"But?"
"He's trying to seduce me." At first he thought he had misheard Yoongi. But of course, he hadn't.
"Ah," Woo-Shik said. He chuckled. "Is that all? It's just the way he is. Jimin's always been a flirt."
The look on Yoongi's face was difficult to read.
"He came onto you?" he said. His voice was a little strange. Woo-Shik frowned, looking at his friend surprisingly.
Yoongi had never been homophobic. Yoongi's own younger brother was gay, and Yoongi had been nothing but supportive when Dohyun came out. But there was definitely something off about his reaction.
"He used to flirt with me a lot, but it was nothing serious," Woo-Shik said slowly. "I thought he did just for the fun of it and to annoy Woon-bin."
"And you were never tempted?"
Laughing a little, Woo-Shik said, "I'm not a monk. He's easily the most gorgeous guy I've ever met."
Yoongi's eyes pierced into him like twin daggers.
Woo-Shik shook his head. "Nothing happened. He's my patient, Yoongi."
Something flickered across Yoongi's face. "Woon-bin is your patient, too."
Woo-Shik paused, wondering how Yoongi knew about him and Woon.
"It's different," he said.
"You know how special he is to me. Jimin is —yeah, he's ridiculously beautiful. I'm a healthy gay man and I have eyes, but I was attracted to him physically." Woo-Shik said and Yoongi clenched his jaw, Woo-Shik notice that "But, Woon-bin is special for me and I couldn't see Jimin as anything but Woon-bin's brother. When you already love someone, it's easy to control trivial lusts."
