The unusually misty Summer went on dull for Sebastian as he spent most of his spare time either reading or practicing magic with his newly bought wand. He was indeed surprised if how much the wand had in common with him.For his luck, he had also found an old stack of fascinating books that had once belonged to his father and he of course sneaked them into his bedroom the first chance he got.
Much to his great fascination, he also came across some truly amusing magazines which contained of (what Sebastian thought as) unpleasently exposed images of red headed teenage girls waving at him. Most of the summer, Sebastian couldn't help but to think of the disturbing words of the red headed family. He was not at all baffled by why they had found his father extremely revolting but it did not give any excuse to throw horrible insults at him. Of course he wasn't much of a hugger but for Sebastian who has never had a fatherly figure, he was an all caring father. They usually met on mealtimes and tea times and Sebastian was truly glad to have him present. Well.. They both weren't much of prattlers but he was sure to have made his stony man of a father's lips almost curl into a smile once.
Even though Snape spent about all his time locked in his gloomy old potions lab, he wasn't really distant with him. For Sebastian who's had no one to talk to him in a decent manner without yelling or arguing about, he was as greatful as he could ever be for his father.
"Weaslys know NOTHING!" sebestian stomped on to the bed, thinking of the two identical red heads in despise. In fact, he had now chosen o nighther accept the pity nor the empty words of the Weaslys. He was now sure to hate them. He started over his bed, stuck in his usual day dreams and thoughts. An unexpectedly firm but gentle knock was placed on his door. Startled, he fell down to the floor, his head hitting hard against the stony floor. He heard the bedroom door open with a soft click. He lifted his head in astir to see the trimph face of his father, Snape's emotionless face staring back at him. Sebestian continued his awkward stare as he started to speak in his monotonous flat tone as if nothing had happened.
"Just a reminder that you are to be departed to the station by 11..... By any slim chance.. Are you packed at all boy?.."
Sebastian had completely forgotten. Today was the day he was going to board the Hogwarts Express to go to Hogwarts. Sebestian stared at his father, many forms of excitement and anxiety running through his mind.
" Considering your expression I take it you have completely forgotten about the journey... It is 7.30 and as you have already missed breakfast I suggest you Get.. Yourself.. Up.. From the floor if your wish is better than kneeling in the corner of my office for the 9th time.. This week.." Snape glared at him casually. Leaving the door open, he left the room, his long black cloak swinging over him as chilly waves of air filled the cozy bedroom." I'm not a toddler to be kneeling down in corners! "Sebastian hissed at his guardian's phlegmatic tone, getting himself up from the stony floor as he carelessly started throwing clothes into his second hand school trunk.
He grabbed his spellbooks and performed one of his newly mastered favourite charms on them.
"Reducio!" he muttered as he let his wand carefully follow his voice. He watched gleefully as all his books shrunk into pocketsize match boxes. He grinned and placed them carefully into a corner of the trunk along with a handful of parchment, ink and a large quill.
It took him a fine hour to finish packing for the year. Yawning he checked the pocket watch beside him. It was nearly 9.00. Sebastian pacicked. Jumping out of the bed he ran over to the bathroom, hastily snatching his clothes from the closet as he shut the door beside him.At just barely 9.30, he entered the living room, panting out his efforts of sprinting through the stairs, carrying his enormous school trunk anxiety all over his face. His father had wanted to depart early for a personal reason.
"When are we leaving.." He breathed out, trying to catch his breath.
"Soon..." his father replied, keeping his eyes on the daily prophet, sipping down his morning coffee.
Sebastian hated when he did this. Snape was a nice man but he had a wierd way of showing love and concern toward people. Well to be honest he doesn't. He never let his emotions slip. Just like how Sebastian had been in the orphanage. Well.. At least he now had a school to go to. He thought, pinching his nose as he waited impatiently."Father, so.. You will actually be my potions teacher at school.. Wouldn't you.." He began, careful, not wanting to kneel in a corner for unnecessary questions.
Snape calmly put the paper down onto his lap and started speaking, "Yes I will be your teacher and you will therefore always address me as 'professor' or 'sir'. You may come to my personal chambers at an unavoidable emergency but I strongly suggest that you do not do. If you are expecting any special treatments from me I also advise you to bare in mind that you will get none as such... And boy... "Snape was now dangerously eyeing the boy in front of him." Do not be an insult to my name.. Do not get yourself into trouble or into unwanted detentions and I expect you in my house rather than being a dunderhead Griffindoor... Do not associate the wrong sorts and do not talk to Griffindoors... Of course I would love to change your surname but the headmaster insists that you go under mine... And you better make it worth boy.. "Snape wrinkled his nose in disgust and threw the prophet into the fire. He stepped outside, grabbing the startled boy from the coller as he made his way to apparate. At his guardian's harsh words, Sebastian found his heart scattering again into pieces as he felt a cold tear escape down to his pale cheeks. He stared at his feet, hiding his face From
Snape, grabbing onto his arm as they apparated far away into London.
