As I regained consciousness, a jarring beeping sound pierced through the air, accompanied by a blindingly bright light. I tried to look around, but all I could see were sterile white walls. I felt immobilized, and my head throbbed with a relentless intensity.
I reluctantly made out a figure gradually moving toward me, my blurred vision struggling to make sense of what was happening. My senses went on high alert as I detected the beeping noise growing louder. Panic washed over me as I worried whether the pack had discovered my location. "Hey, it's okay," a soothing voice reassured me. Gradually, my sight cleared, revealing the most striking pair of bright blue eyes gazing back at me, completely captivating my attention.
The room was quiet as I tried to regain my bearings. A woman's voice cut through the silence, startling me. I struggled to focus on her as she spoke. Her words were muffled, and I strained to comprehend them. I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, jolting me back to the present. "Sir, may I know your name?" the woman asked, her voice cutting through the fog in my mind. I fixed my gaze on her, trying to maintain a neutral expression despite my confusion and disorientation
As I frantically searched for a way to escape before the ordinary people around me realized I was different, I sensed her resignation as she finished up her tasks and departed.
I got up from the bed where I had been lying and walked over to the window. Luckily, my room was located on the first floor, so I saw it as my chance. I hastily scrambled to put on my tattered clothes, making sure to listen for any approaching footsteps. Once I felt it was safe, I cautiously opened the window and made a daring leap to freedom outside.
Shit, Despite what I suspect was a dislocated leg, I managed to muster the strength to keep going thanks to the rush of adrenaline, so I pushed through the excruciating pain and continued running.
I kept running until the hospital faded from view. Suddenly, I found myself in a bustling city where every face was unfamiliar. The sensation of solitude weighed heavily on me, more overwhelming than I had ever experienced before.
As I strolled down the street, I couldn't help but notice a few disapproving glances directed my way. I realized that my attire might have been the cause, as I suspected that it probably carried an unpleasant odor.
Walking around the street, I found an alley where I could leave my head at least for the night, ignoring the insatiable hunger, I was feeling at that moment. I was no longer in the forest, so I could hand down a bunny. I had to find other ways to procure food.
As I surveyed the dimly lit alley, my eyes settled on a grimy dumpster. Ignoring any sense of shame, I mustered the resolve to pry open the lid and delve inside in search of sustenance to alleviate the gnawing ache of hunger that had consumed me..
I sat on the floor, my mind racing. The tension in the air was palpable as I realized I was now an easy target for my pack, especially the alpha, who was seeking revenge for his brother's death. Though I was clueless about what transpired, I knew that I was now a prime target and that danger lurked around every corner.
