The Admission

Today was the day.

It had been a week since Melody and I asked dad if we could join the Music academy, he asked if they had our preferred classes and it just happens that they do.

Today there was an admission test, since we submitted the form for advanced classes we need to prove that we are capable of directly joining advanced classes before learning basics.

Melody and I took these classes in our previous school as our club activities so we know the basics. Melody was pretty confident about the whole ordeal, while I was pretty nervous.

After we had lunch we picked up our instruments and sat in the backseat of our father's car as he silently drove us there.

I didn't know why he chose to drive there while we could've simply walked, it wasn't that far away.

He parks in the parking lot and we get out.

I'm really nervous, my palms are sweating, unlike my sister, I'm not so confident.  I don't want to repeat the beginners session and I also want to have a good impression, so I need to pass this.

We soon enter the room where our tests will be taken. They take my sister to another room so they can take our tests simultaneously. They hand me a sheet with the song I need to play. As I go through the sheet I notice I know this song. It's one of my favorites to practice.

I pick up my violin and start playing I don't even need the sheet, I know this one by heart. After I finish the person who was supposed to judge if I was capable of joining the advance year or not stands up. I'm not so confident in playing in front of strangers so I'm scared of what he'll say. He claps and I flinch, " You're surprisingly talented for your age. You are more than worthy of joining the expert year."

I smile and I'm pretty sure I also blushed a little from the compliment, "Thank you" I reply in a soft voice.

Soon my sister comes back and I ask her how it went, " Do you even need to ask? Of course I'm allowed to join the advance year directly." I chuckle at her confident personality, "I'm glad. Congratulations?" She smiles and hugs me, "Thank you, and same to you." I get out of her suffocating hold, "How'd you know?"

"Do you really call me your sister? I hear you whenever you practice, I knew you'd pass."

After that we return home happily, ready to start our classes from tomorrow.

To my dear lovelies,

So, how was this? I have no idea how a music academy works I just had an idea of adding a music academy cuz Hestia goes to one.

Please don't come at me for mistakes when it comes to music and the academy. The only thing I know how to play is the Piano and that too on a child level so cut me some slack.

Positive criticism is appreciated and so are comments in general. They are literally my fuel to write.
