Yuan burst in through the chamber doors of his young master, excitement building inside him as he rushed to the bed where his master had curled up on the sheets for the past three days; Xiao Zhan had made no appearance— no one knew how they switched.

"Young Master, get up. The fourth Prince has instructed his consorts to have breakfast with him,"

Wei Ying gawked at the ceiling with dullness in his eyes. "Inform the prince I'm not feeling well."

"The first prince is also going to be there,"

Instantly, a glint owned the Omega's eyes and he bolted to a sitting posture on the bed. "Help me change, Yuan."

Yuan beamed, it was nice to see live in the omega's eyes once in a while even if it was just for a short moment. "Yes, Your Highness,"

Wei Ying had a few things he looked forward to in his tiny wretched life, one of which was getting to meet the first prince, but that was before he was matched to his sister, and right now, knowing he could see the prince filled him with excitement, and his body moved on its own.

Once dressed, he exited the chambers, Yuan trailing after him, and proceeded to the dining area. When he arrived, the first prince was present, but alongside him sat his consort, his elder sister.

Just like that, the little sparkle in his eyes vanished and he looked at the floor; seeing her was a slap to reality he needed.

"Wei Ying." She rose from her seat and approached him with a dazzling grin; if Wei Ying had not known better, he would have believed her—she was just as cunning and devious as her mother. She softly got hold of his hands. "I have not seen you since I left home; you seem healthier. I am delighted that the fourth Prince is taking good care of you."

Speaking of whom, Wei Ying cast a peek at the fourth Prince, who was sipping tea from a cup and paying little attention to them. The omega also noticed the other consorts looking at him with mischievous grins—Wei Ying knew this day wasn't going to end well for him. He would either die from shame or die at his sister's hands.

"Come sit," she gently led him over to the space beside her and sat him down. "Do you know, I insisted on coming to visit today. I realized I hadn't seen you in a while, Wei Ying. How have you been?"

The pretense in her tone was so obvious that one could be poisoned with it. Instead of answering, he gave a tiny nod in acknowledgment.

"Ayo, Consort Wei Ying, what's wrong? Are you perhaps sick? A few days ago, you were fizzling with enthusiasm." Princess Hui Yin pointed out.
