A/N

Hey there people. I hope everyone's keeping well.

To start off, like most people, I too am gutted with the current track and personally, I feel they've gone completely off track. They've butchered both Adi and Kavya's core traits and everything's just a mess.

I find it infuriating how they've made Adi a lab rat they want to experiment new concepts with. They could have done that with Shubh and Anubha and anyone else but Adi..incorrigible.

Adi was never meant to he destroyed like this. Kavya was never meant to be  hyper focused on her career. The balance has completely gone off and it's just sad. Creatives have murdered the story's potential with their own hands.

Anyway, I did what I do best. Wrote something for my respite. I'd rather cherish a ship with two flawed yet human and heartwarming leads than what the creatives are portraying. So here it is.

Adi and Kavya's marriage had reached a standstill since the conception of their child. With Giriraj and Seema scheming from all sides, Shubh's return aiming to create misunderstandings, and Adi and Kavya's ideological clashes, lack of effective communication and comprehension, everything was a tangled mess. A mess so deep and thick it swallowed them deeper with every misstep, every blind spot and every repeated mistake.

Today was no different. Another misunderstanding had risen for the umpteenth time.

"Tum uske saamnay ro sakti ho. Uski itni himmat ke who tumharay sar pe haath rakhega. Humari biwi ke sar pe hath rakhega woh." Adi blared.

"Yeh tum kis tarah se baat kar rahay ho humse? Kia matlab hai in baato ka?" Kavya was genuinely confused.

"Tumhare pati ka kandha hai. You should have come to me." Adi continued and turned away, his back facing Kavya.

Adi’s words fell on Kavya like an accusation she never saw coming.

"Adi?" Kavya called as she sat on their bedside. "Un articles mei yeh nahi likha tha ke physical safety ke sath mental peace or husband ka sath bhi zaroori hota hai?"

Adi stepped before her and spoke in a low, meaningful murmur, "Hum yahi tou hai. Tumharay sath."

Their eyes bored into each other’s, Adi hoping for Kavya to believe him and Kavya hoping to grasp the sincerity of his words. Both couldn't find what they were hoping for.

"Tum sath reh ke bhi bohot dur ho Adi. Itna dur ke hum tum tuk pohoch hi nahi paa rahay.” Kavya let out a helpless cry.

"Hum dur rehte hai? Tum bhi tou har kaam apni marzi se karti ho. Humari raaye jaanne ki koshish bhi nahi karti. Har kaam khud karna hota hai, akele karna hota hai tumhein. Aaj bhi tum humaray bina cahli gayi jub ke hum chal rahay thy tumharay sath." Adi threw his hands in exasperation.

"Iska matlab yeh hai ke tum humse baat kiye bina apni authority ka najayez faida uthaogy aur humaray raastay ka subse bara road block banogy? Rishwat dogy, bekaar si conferences pe bhejogy? Adi tumhein abhi tuk realize nahi hua hai ke tum kia kar rahe ho. Tumhari waja se 10 jaanein chali gayi. Aur agar woh sub kaafi nahi kaha tha tou ab tum humse itne ginhaunay sawal karogy." Kavya’s voice trembled with a mix of anger and hurt.

"Hum maante hai humne Babua walay incident ke baad jo kia woh bohot ghalat tha par uske baad humne aisa kuch nahi kia jis se tumhara career dao pe lagay. Conference pe hi tou le ke gaye thy.” Adi pleaded. “Aur ginhaunay sawal? Bansu?"

Adi's palms held her face in his hands, his eyes looking in hers.

"Isliye subah subah tum uske ghar uss se milne chali gayi? Yeh kia tha, Adi? Ab tum hum se aise baat karogy? Shak karogy?" Kavya shot back with a deadly stare.
