In his dimly lit room, Adi sat on the edge of his bed, awaiting Kavya's arrival so they could call it a night, while contemplating the day's events.

The day had been eventful. Adi had won the sexual harassment case, and Amma and Anurag's truth had been revealed.

The events of the day had put many things into perspective, leaving almost every resident of PM feeling hurt, exhausted, but also relieved.

This was not the case for Adi. His mind was buzzing with infinite thoughts. The events of the past couple of days were catching up to him-the humiliation, the disrespect, the slander.

Restless. Anxious. Jittery.

That's how he felt.

He needed his mind to calm down. He needed some semblance of peace.

Kavya. He needed Kavya.

Deciding he was done waiting, he stormed out of their room in search of Kavya and found her giggling away with Sanjeev and Alka as she sat on the countertop in their kitchen. A teasing glint in her eyes as she slurped some noodles while the other two blushed.

Adi surprised himself. Usually, he would have whisked her away to their room and sought comfort in her. But at that moment, he didn't have the heart to take her away.

Entranced by her carefree demeanor after a long time, Adi remained by the door with crossed arms as he watched her tease his friend and Bhabi some more with an affectionate smile. It had been ages since he had seen her so carefree and responsibility-free. Without any burden to prove her innocence and without his hatred to tackle, she looked like a child. Happy and carefree.

And her infectious energy seemed to have warded off his jitters as well.

"Andar kyu nahi aaye tum?" Kavya walked towards him. She has noticed him the moment he came and stood by the door.

Adi just shrugged in response. His gaze was fixed on hers.

"Kuch chahiye tha?" Kavya's hand came to rest on his forearms as she looked at him, confused.

Adi nodded.

Kavya narrowed her eyes in question.

"Tum" Adi expressed with his softest, most overwhelmed smile.

Adi's response ceased Kavya's confusion, and soon a smile and a pink hue colored her cheeks.

Kavya was yet to overcome the unexpected confession when she felt herself being swept off her feet.

Adi had scooped her into his arms as Kavya stared at him agape, her arms instinctively going around his neck.

Biting back a chuckle at Kavya's expressions, Adi sauntered towards their room.

"Yeh kia tha?" Kavya interrogated him as soon as they entered their room and Adi kicked the doors of their room closed.

"Bataya tou tha Bansu. Humein tum chahiye thi. Tumhein le aaye." Adi replied with an air of nonchalance, leaning against the doors he had just shut.

"Hum khud bhi chal ke aasakte thy."

"Jaante hai."

"Tou phir?"

Instead of answering Kavya, he walked towards their bed. Kavya still in his arms as he dropped her on the mattress and joined her in bed.

"Tum theek ho?" Kavya asked, reaching out to hold Adi's hand, which was pulling the comforter on both of them.

With the hand Kavya held, he yanked her into a soft embrace. Adi's head rested against the bed rest, while Kavya's face was nuzzled in his neck.

"Ab theek hai." Adi affirmed with a kiss on her hair.
