I was walking up to Zoro in the outfit I had worn yesterday - a simple beige crop top and some wide-legged, black trousers, that reached my ankles. Before we took off this island I definitely needed to get back to that motel and take the few belongings I had, because I couldn't wear the same thing every day.
I drew my two daggers before I came to a stop in front of him. Each blade was slender yet deadly, reflecting a faint glint of crimson from the bloodred diamonds that adorned the point where the handle and steel met. The blades themselves had etched patterns that danced along the edges. The raven-black handles lay casually in my hand, as I stood before Zoro.
He stood tall in front of me, a sword gripped in each hand, eyes meeting mine with fierce determination. His third katana still dangled from his waist, ready to be drawn if needed. I vowed to ensure it would be drawn before the end of our duel.
The green-haired man smirked at me, getting into a fighting position. I returned the grin and shifted my stance, ready to strike any moment.
Without another word, we launched into action. Zoro surged forward, his swords cutting through the air with lethal precision. I met his attack with my daggers, our blades clashing together in a shower of sparks. He was fast and strong but I managed to parry each of his attacks.
Sanji's shout barely reached my ears. "Go, Aileen! Show that mosshead how it's done," he cheered me on. I wondered why he sided with me instead of his crewmates he'd known far longer. But the question was quickly forgotten as 'mosshead' struck again.
It was time for me to put in more effort otherwise we wouldn't get anywhere in this battle. I smirked at my opponent, as I mentally prepared for my next move.
I rotated my body to the side, lifting my knee to my waist in a fast motion. Then I snapped my leg out, kicking Zoro's midsection. Whilst I quickly returned to my guard stance, I saw him flying backwards. But instead of hitting the ground with his back, he swiftly turned and landed on one knee, with his hand on the ground for further balance.
He looked at me with a mix of surprise and admiration, while cheers from my new crewmates echoed in the background. Finally, he drew his last sword and positioned it in his mouth, biting down on it harshly. It was clear that he deemed me worthy enough to face me with full force.
The swordsman rose and charged at me with greater ferocity. The three katanas moved in perfect harmony, each strike a testament to his incredible skill and strength. I parried his hits, my daggers flashing in the sunlight as I blocked and dodged, but the sheer power of Zoro's attacks began to weigh me down.
I spun into a low sweep, aiming to knock him off balance, but he leapt over my leg and brought his swords down powerfully. Crossing my daggers above my head to block the attack, the impact drove me down to one knee. I kicked out, catching my opponent in the shin and forcing him back.
Springing up again I launched at him with kicks and slashes, but it was of no use since he parried all of them. He was incredibly strong, but I wasn't going to give up. Both of us continued to slash at each other with full force. Gradually, I gained the upper hand in the fight, even though my muscles grew heavy, from countering his powerful attacks.
However, I wasn't the only one who grew tired from the duel. It was apparent that Zoro was also running low on energy, even though his slashes didn't lose force. All I needed to win were a few strong hits. And that I could manage. I was set on defeating him. Summoning my remaining strength, I lifted my foot and aimed at his chest.
But Zoro managed to move out of the way just in time, which made me stagger for a short moment since I had hit nothing but air. He of course made good use of my momentary imbalance. The smooth side of his katana was swiftly pressed against my chest, ensuring no harm would come from the blade, while simultaneously he kicked my feet away.
