It was 5 o clk when finally Sachin entered Deshmuk house "Sailee.. Sailee.. ek glass paa..." Before he could complete Sailee was in front of him with a glass of water and some Khanda bajiye on plate.
Any other day Sachin would have forgotten everything and just focus on a plate full of bajiye but today something's different. Sailee looked prettier than usual if that's even possible he thought.
"Kya hua.. Khao na.. phir humey kangan lene bhi toh jana hai.." her sweet voice brought him out of his trance.
"Arrey haa baba... Chalte hai.. " he finished quickly. He freshned up and made sure he was twinning with his wife. It was his way of telling people to back off and that she is taken.
Sailee was playing with her pallu thinking something deeply, her hair flying with wind forcing her to shut the car window halfway.
"Kya hua muh mein Tala kyu lagaaya hai ? Kuch bol kyun nai Rahi ? " Asked Sachin concentrating on road.
"Woh Shaadi se pehle na maine omkara jewelers mein ek mangalsutra dekha tha aai ke liye ab toh wo le nai sakti .. soch rahi hoon kisht ke paise se aai ke liye ek chain le lu.. tik hai na ?" She asked.
Since the time she started earning, it was her desire to buy something special for her Aai and Sachin knew that. "Arrey wah .. yeh hui na baat.. ab ki na tune akalmandi wali baat " he nodded happily.
"Waise ek baat bata tu uss jewelers ko jaanti hai Kya?" Sachin casually asked while stopping the car at signal.
"Arrey haa ... Mere baba ke dost hai woh... Humari shaadi ke saare ghene unse hi liya tha.. aur jab mai shaadi se pehle kisht barne jaati tee toh , wah ke ek salesman na humesha mujhe nayi nayi design dikata tha.. " she spoke non stop about owner, about sales man, about shop , about latest trends of gold bangle etc etc.
Meanwhile Sachin forced himself to keep his focus on road and not on her antics. She really was looking very beautiful today with her hair left open, her smile reaching her eyes , her pink saree that made her look like a rose. The car honk brought him out of his tadofying session.
He dropped Sailee infront of jewelry shop and asked Sailee to get in and get started on selecting the patterns. He had to park his car a little further away as it was no parking zone.
He parked his car and entered the shop only to be welcomed by scene he didn't wish to see in his lifetime.
A man was holding his wife's hand, smiling showing off all of his white teeth.
His heart was burning, he felt tightness engulf him. 'Is it because of Khanda bajiye ' he thought but immediately dismissed it. This feeling was new to him. He has never felt this before.
It's not that he doesn't trust Sailee but he he doesn't trust the man infront of him. The man was smiling but smile was filled with lust and longing for his wife, 'His wife..'
All he wanted to do now was, go over, hold on to his neck and wipe the smug smile off his face by throwing some punches at him. How dare anyone hold his baiko's hand ... Infact how dare him look at that pretty face.
He also knew that his innocent, sweet Sailee would not even realize what's going on in and around her. So he quickly went to her.
He saw the man was trying to fit a bangle into her delicate wrist. Sailee saw Sachin taking a seat beside her. She began with introduction "Sachin ye Suraj hai.. Maine kaha tha na .. ye humesha mujhe nayi nayi design diktate tai.. " pointing towards Sachin she continued "aur ye Sachin.. mere.. "
"Aur mein iska pati.. Sachin" he gently placed a hand on her shoulder but his eyes were on the man. He saw a wave of sadness passing through the salesman and his doubt was now confirmed. This man had hots for his wife.
He wanted to break something now. In order to control himself, he looked at Sailee and was confused to see her blushing. He followed her eyes and realised he still had his hand kept on her shoulder and that was why she was giving a tough competition to a tomato. He felt at peace now.
Before the salesman continued with his ministration Sachin took over. He held the bangle in one hand and he held sailee's in other. He took his sweet time to put on the bangle she selected.
Sailee was in a bad state, she was feeling a shock wave run through her body and was turning red by seconds.
Finally after some 5 to 6 trials she finalized the first one as she was no longer able to think straight with her husband hand on her.
She knew something was off with her husband. Her shy husband is no longer shy and is openly holding her hand, touching her , staring at her lovingly.
She knew something was up with him. The investigator within her would not let her sit in peace. She saw him looking at the salesman. The look in his eyes was both surprising and scary at the same time.
She saw him throwing daggers at the poor salesman. She tried to reason with his behavior and the only answer she could get was that her cute handsome husband was "Jealous"
She didn't know if she should be happy for herself or be scared for the poor man. She knew their feelings were changing and she has read in many romantic novels how hero would be jealous if his love interest were courted by someone else.
She felt like she was finally living her fairy tale romance.
Once the bangle was selected for his aai it was her Aai's turn now. They went towards the chain section, all the while Sachin was holding on to Sailees hand clearly claiming his rights on her.
Sailee was over the moon, she let him put on the chain as well. Him moving her hair on one side of her shoulder and making her wear a couple of chains , touching her neck in the process. All this was giving her some improper thoughts. She just wished at the moment, she was in their bedroom and not at a showroom.
Finally the selection was done and it was time for payment.
"Apne Bhau ko thanks nai bolegi Sailee itna madad kiya isne selection karne mein.. " this was the final stroke. Sachin thought it's do or die now. Before leaving the store , he wanted the man to realise she is taken and is his for eternity.
"Tumein uss se jalne ki zaroort nahi hai.. Mai sirf aur sirf tumhari hi Hoon.. agle saat janmo tak.. tik hai ? " whispered Sailee.
The look on Sachins face was worth seeing.
