Our Past ; Mattheo Riddle

Scarlett

Valeria was sat in her room getting ready for the day with Pansy, they had classes today. None of them really wanted to go but obviously they had to. Valeria was still pissed off at Mattheo for what he had done and didn't know how she would be able to forgive him and Mattheo couldn't stop thinking about how he wanted to make it up to her. He knew he was going to have to do something out of the box to get her to believe that he was truly sorry about what he did, and he couldn't ask anyone to help him because it had to come from him. Usually in the past whenever they had a falling out, he would just get her some type of substance but obviously he couldn't do that, so he had to think of something else that was really important to her. 

"You ready to go gal?" Pansy asked Val, bringing her out of her thoughts. "Yeah Pans, let's go." She go up from her vanity and picked up her backpack. She has all of her classes with all of her friends, yet that brings the fact that Mattheo was also in every one of her classes and she didn't know if she really wanted to even see him right now. She still loves him, even if what he did was wrong, but she needs him to realize that and make it up to her. She is not going to be the first person to break, he had to fix what he did. They made it down to the common room and sat down on the sofas waiting for the boys to come down as well so that they could all go to breakfast. Val has started eating a little bit more, she has now been eating toast in the morning instead of just drinking water, it was baby steps, which is what Enzo always told her and she was keeping an open mind to it. "Hello beautiful ladies." Enzo said as he came down the stairs with everyone else following him, the girls giggled at his unserious antics and stood up with them. "You two ready to go?" Blaise asked them as they stopped their laughing. "We were literally down here before you, of course we're ready." Valeria started laughing again and Mattheo couldn't help but smile at her laugh, he had always loved when she laughed or smiled, but right once she noticed him smiling at her, she stopped and went back to a straight face while rolling her eyes. They all walked out of the common room and into the hallways, they were already bustling with students everywhere, the first years still somehow not knowing where they were going when it was the middle of the second quarter and older kids walking like they owned the place before they saw the Slytherin royals and all put their heads down. But it was obvious to everyone that there were two certain people who were on edge. Valeria, and Mattheo. Theo noticed this so he nudged Enzo and Blaise to signal for them to go walk with Val while he walked with Mattheo, to try and ease up the tension. "Hello beautiful girl." Blaise said as he sped up to walk next to Valeria. "Hello Blaise, you're in a good mood. Does it have anything to do with Luna?" She asked him giving him a smirk and drawing out the 'a'. "Oh my, I totally forgot about that! How's that going blade?" Enzo asked him with excitement. "It's going really good, we actually had a date last night, she's absolutely amazing." Blaise responded to them with genuine sincerity and the two could notice that Luna could possibly be the one for Blaise. She brings something out in him that no ones ever really seen from him, he's usually very tense and serious but she brings out joy in him and everyone loved to see it. "Im really happy for you Blade, that's amazing bud." Valeria told him as they made their way into the Great hall. "Speaking of, I'm gonna go say hi to her I'll be right back." He said as he walked off toward the Ravenclaw table. Everyone else sat down and started pilling food onto their plates while Enzo sat next to Valeria, out a piece of toast on her plate and said "Baby steps, yeah?" Eventually she finished her toast and drank a cup of coffee with some water and soon enough it was time for their first class. They all had astronomy in the astronomy tower. But what people didn't know about the astronomy tower was that there was a balcony out off of it only a story up, and that's where Mattheo and Valeria used to sneak off to most nights when they were dating. They both knew this and were both uncomfortable with going up there together but sometimes people had to do things they didn't want to do, and they were just going to have to live with the fact. 

Once they got to class, they all sat at a table together, Valeria in-between Theo and Enzo with Mattheo on the other side of Theo, Blaise next to Enzo, Pansy next to Blaise and Draco between Pansy and Matt. Once they were all sat, they tried to listen to Professor Sinistra but none of them could focus, they were all chatting away with each other and for a couple minutes, Mattheo and Valeria forgot about everything that had happened over the past couple days. It was just like old times, they were all laughing and arguing with each other about the dumbest shit and they were all extremely happy. Everyone seemed to envy how close of a bond all of them had together and wished that they could join the group, but they were so closely knit that no one could try to intrude. Except one girl in particular, Scarlett Brown, a slytherin pureblood who used to be pretty close to the group. All of their parents are friends with hers but once Scarlett tried getting with Mattheo when him and Valeria were together, it set Val off. Mattheo always had a thing for Scarlett and she hated it. So when she found him kissing her at the afterparty her first night back, it set her even more off. Her and Scarlett used to be best fucking friends and then, she couldn't trust Scarlett at all. Mattheo has been seeming more interested in Scarlett recently, they've been talking a lot and Valeria has seen her in and out of his dorm room many times, and even now, the two were chatting away. 

They were now in their last class of the day, potions and Snape was all over their asses because they haven't been paying attention in his class at all, all year. So every minute, he was at their table staring at them while doing their textbook reading while taking notes on it, and if any of them got distracted, he would smack them across the head. The group had a great relationship with Snape cause all of their parents knew him and he thought of them as his children to take care of while they were at Hogwarts and every time Snape would smack one of them, they'd all start laughing, and even Snape had broken his stern teacher act a couple of times, because whether he liked to admit it or not, the groups laughter was contagious. They were all laughing when Snape smacked the back of Draco's head until Scarlett came and sat down next to Mattheo. She knew that it shouldn't get on her nerves, but seeing them talking and having fun was too much for her and before she knew it her hands were clenched in fists, her knuckles practically white. She felt a hand reach down to hers, it was Blades. Blaise was always the person to help her calm down when she was angry cause he understands what she feels. He also has the worst temper and the two of them together, if you make them both mad, you're basically dead. His hand traced her knuckles with his thumb and she was starting to calm down until Mattheo leaned over to her and whispered in her ear. "You've gotta be fucking kidding me right now." Valeria mumbled under her breath and as she tried to get up, ready for a fight, Blaise kept a strong grip on her forearm, "You can later, were in class flower." Blaise said to her, he'd always call her flower after the Valerian Flower. "But blade.." She tried to say something before he cut her off again, "No flower, I understand you're good friends with Snape. I mean look at his face staring at them two together, I get it. But we can do this later, there's only twenty minutes of class left." Valeria groaned as she sat back in her chair as Snape walked over. "I know what you want to do. I'll cover for you if you do it in the courtyard after classes are over, just make sure she hits you first." He whispered in her ear, trying not to be seen by the students. He was a teacher and shouldn't be saying that kind of thing, but Valeria was like a daughter to him and he didn't want to see her hurting, more importantly, he wanted to see that Scarlett bitch bleed. Valeria nodded at him as he walked over towards Mattheo and Scarlett and smacked both of them in the back of the head, "Do your work." Valeria couldn't help but laugh at Scarletts face as she just realized that she got smacked by Snape for the first time in two years. And finally after a couple more minutes, class was over and Valeria was ready to fuck a bitch up.
